This Is How Much a New Toyota Camry Hybrid Battery Costs in 2025

A new OEM high-voltage battery for the 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid is listed at about $5,512 before labor. Here is what installed replacement may cost, how the 10-year/150,000-mile warranty changes the calculation, and how new, refurbished, used, and 12-volt batteries differ.

A new OEM high-voltage battery assembly for a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid is listed at about $5,512 before labor. With installation and fees, many U.S. owners should expect roughly $4,000–$6,000 for a new OEM repair—but warranty coverage may reduce the bill substantially. Toyota says qualifying hybrid batteries are covered for 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.

A new OEM high-voltage battery assembly for a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid is listed at about $5,512 MSRP before labor. Online catalog pricing for the same assembly is approximately $3,761, but that is a parts-only figure. After diagnosis, installation, taxes, shipping, and shop fees, a realistic U.S. repair budget is roughly $4,000 to $6,000 when a new Toyota battery is installed. Some regional estimates are lower, while dealer or specialist quotes can exceed that range.

There is an important exception: Toyota says hybrid batteries in its 2020-and-newer hybrid vehicles are covered for 10 years from the vehicle’s original date of first use or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. For a 2025 Camry Hybrid, warranty verification should be the first step—not ordering a replacement battery.

2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid battery replacement cost at a glance

Repair or part Evidence-based price indication What the figure means
New Toyota OEM high-voltage battery assembly $5,512.06 MSRP Parts price only; catalog listing for part G9510-33132
Discounted online OEM assembly About $3,761.19 Before labor, taxes, shipping, and fitment verification
Dealer or conventional hybrid-specialist replacement About $3,500–$5,000 or more Market estimate; location, labor, and battery type affect the final invoice
Phoenix-area estimate for a new OEM installed repair About $2,800–$4,500 Regional estimate, not Toyota’s nationwide price
Refurbished or independent replacement About $1,200 starting price in one advertised service Not equivalent to a new OEM Toyota assembly; service area and warranty vary
Conventional 12-volt battery About $133.97 online or $157.81 MSRP in the cited catalog Not the high-voltage propulsion battery

The most useful headline number is therefore approximately $3,800–$5,500 for the new OEM battery assembly alone, or about $4,000–$6,000 installed in many U.S. markets. The installed range is an informed market estimate, not a published Toyota flat-rate price. [C001][C002][C003][C006]

Which battery are you replacing?

The Camry Hybrid has two different batteries that are often confused in repair-cost articles:

  • High-voltage hybrid battery: The large propulsion battery that works with the gasoline engine and electric motors. This is the expensive component discussed in the $4,000–$6,000 replacement estimate.
  • 12-volt auxiliary battery: The conventional low-voltage battery that powers vehicle electronics and helps start the vehicle’s systems. It is a much less expensive service item, with the cited catalog showing approximately $133.97 online or $157.81 MSRP.

A listing that simply says “2025 Camry battery replacement” may be referring to the 12-volt battery rather than the hybrid traction battery. Ask the shop to identify the exact failed component in writing before comparing prices. A 12-volt battery estimate must not be used as a proxy for high-voltage battery replacement.

The OEM battery part number and why VIN verification matters

The OEM high-voltage assembly is cataloged as Toyota part number G9510-33132 for the 2.5-liter full-hybrid powertrain. One Toyota-parts catalog lists an MSRP of $5,512.06 and an online selling price of $3,761.19. Those figures are useful reference points, but neither should automatically be treated as the price of a completed repair. [C001][C006]

The 2025 Camry Hybrid is available with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. Parts catalogs caution buyers to verify fitment, and a VIN check is particularly important before ordering a high-voltage assembly. Do not assume that one part number is correct for every Camry Hybrid in every market. Confirm the vehicle’s VIN, drivetrain, model specification, and battery configuration with Toyota or a qualified hybrid specialist.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

How much does installation add?

The catalog battery price covers the assembly, not the complete repair. A professional quote may include:

  • Diagnostic testing and confirmation that the high-voltage battery is actually defective
  • High-voltage system shutdown and safety procedures
  • Removal and installation of the battery assembly
  • Shipping, freight, or hazardous-material handling
  • Programming, initialization, or post-installation checks if required
  • Disposal or core charges
  • Shop supplies, taxes, and other service fees

This is why a $3,761 online part cannot be compared directly with a $4,500 dealer quote. The dealer quote may include diagnosis, labor, warranty administration, and other costs that are absent from the catalog listing. Conversely, a low advertised battery price may exclude removal, installation, shipping, or warranty-related charges.

Published market estimates describe dealership replacement pricing of approximately $3,500–$5,000 or more. These figures illustrate regional variation; Toyota does not publish one mandatory nationwide replacement price for every dealer. [C002][C003]

Check the hybrid-battery warranty before paying

Toyota states that hybrid batteries in Toyota hybrid vehicles from model year 2020 onward are covered for 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. Toyota’s 2025 Camry materials separately describe the broader hybrid-system warranty as eight years or 100,000 miles, while identifying the hybrid battery as receiving the longer 10-year/150,000-mile coverage. [C004][C005]

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Warranty coverage is intended to correct defects in materials or workmanship and remains subject to Toyota’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty and Warranty and Maintenance Guide. It is not a guarantee that every battery showing reduced capacity will be replaced free of charge. Damage from an outside event, improper repair, modification, or another excluded condition may be handled differently.

Before authorizing paid work, ask a Toyota dealer to:

  1. Diagnose the vehicle and identify the failed component.
  2. Check the original date of first use and current mileage.
  3. Confirm whether the vehicle is still within the 10-year/150,000-mile hybrid-battery warranty.
  4. Explain whether the proposed repair is covered, partially covered, or customer-pay.
  5. Provide a written estimate for any non-warranty work.

A 2025 vehicle is likely to have substantial warranty protection unless it has unusually high mileage, an earlier in-service date, or an excluded type of damage. The warranty check could save thousands of dollars.

Do warning lights prove that the hybrid battery has failed?

No. A warning light or hybrid-system message does not, by itself, prove that the high-voltage battery pack needs replacement. Related faults can involve battery cooling, wiring, sensors, power electronics, charging and control systems, software, or the 12-volt electrical system.

Get a hybrid-capable diagnosis before buying a battery. If you are comparing a hybrid battery diagnostic scanner, verify that the specific tool supports the 2025 Camry Hybrid and can access the Toyota hybrid-system data you need. A generic code reader may not provide enough information to distinguish a battery-pack problem from another fault. A scan tool can support diagnosis, but it does not make high-voltage battery disassembly safe for an untrained owner.

High-voltage battery work should be performed by a Toyota dealer or a technician trained and equipped for hybrid vehicles. Do not open the battery pack, disconnect high-voltage cables, or attempt module replacement based only on an online fault-code interpretation.

New OEM versus refurbished or used batteries

New Toyota OEM battery

A new genuine Toyota assembly generally offers the clearest parts provenance and the closest match to the vehicle’s original specification. Its disadvantages are the high component price and the possibility that dealer labor, shipping, diagnosis, and taxes will raise the final bill. The documented OEM reference is G9510-33132, but the VIN still needs to be checked.

Refurbished or independent replacement

Independent hybrid specialists may offer inspected, refurbished, rebuilt, or replacement packs at substantially lower prices. One advertised service lists a Camry-compatible 34-module replacement starting at approximately $1,200 installed, with warranty options varying by package. That is not equivalent to a new Toyota OEM assembly, and the service is geographically limited.

Before choosing this route, ask what is actually being installed: a refurbished original pack, selected used modules, a rebuilt battery, or a newly manufactured replacement assembly. Also ask about the written warranty, whether labor is included if the pack fails, how battery health is tested, and whether the provider supports the exact 2025 Camry drivetrain.

Used marketplace battery

Used packs can appear dramatically cheaper, but the advertised price may not reveal the battery’s mileage, storage history, state of health, accident history, warranty, shipping condition, or exact compatibility. One ended marketplace listing showed a 2025 Camry OEM high-voltage pack offered at $1,400, but the listing was ended because of an error. It should not be treated as a reliable market price or recommendation. [C008]

How to compare a Camry Hybrid battery quote

Ask each shop for an itemized estimate containing these details:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • The diagnostic findings and trouble codes
  • The exact battery part number and whether it is new, used, refurbished, rebuilt, or aftermarket
  • Parts cost and labor cost as separate line items
  • Whether the quoted price includes battery removal and installation
  • Any programming, initialization, shipping, core, disposal, or hazardous-material fees
  • The warranty length and whether it covers parts, labor, or both
  • Confirmation that the battery fits the vehicle’s VIN and front- or all-wheel-drive configuration
  • Whether additional hybrid-system repairs are recommended or merely possible

Be cautious when a quote uses only the word “battery.” Confirm whether it means the high-voltage hybrid assembly or the 12-volt auxiliary battery. Also be cautious with an unusually low price that does not state the battery’s condition or warranty.

What should a 2025 Camry Hybrid owner budget?

If the repair is covered under Toyota’s hybrid-battery warranty, the owner may owe little or nothing for the covered battery repair, subject to the warranty’s terms and exclusions. If the battery is out of warranty and a new OEM assembly is required, budgeting about $4,000–$6,000 installed is reasonable for many U.S. markets, with the possibility of a higher quote in expensive labor markets or when additional faults are found.

A discounted OEM part may reduce the component cost, but confirm who will install it and whether the shop will warranty a customer-supplied battery. A refurbished or independent replacement can reduce the upfront cost—one advertised option starts around $1,200 installed—but it involves different trade-offs in battery condition, coverage, service availability, and long-term risk.

The practical order is straightforward: verify the warranty, obtain a professional diagnosis, confirm VIN fitment, then compare itemized new-OEM and independent-replacement quotes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid battery cost?

A new OEM high-voltage battery assembly is listed at about $5,512 MSRP, while one online catalog lists it at approximately $3,761 before labor, taxes, shipping, and other fees. A complete installed repair may cost roughly $4,000–$6,000 in many U.S. markets.

Is the 2025 Camry Hybrid battery covered by a warranty?

Toyota states that hybrid batteries in model-year 2020-and-newer Toyota hybrids are covered for 10 years from the original date of first use or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. The vehicle’s mileage, in-service date, diagnosis, and warranty exclusions must be checked by a Toyota dealer.

Is the Camry Hybrid battery the same as the 12-volt battery?

No. The high-voltage hybrid battery powers the electric-drive system and can cost thousands of dollars. The separate 12-volt auxiliary battery is much cheaper; the cited catalog lists it at about $133.97 online or $157.81 MSRP.

Does a hybrid-system warning light mean the battery must be replaced?

Not necessarily. A warning light can result from other hybrid-system, sensor, wiring, cooling, control, or 12-volt faults. A Toyota dealer or qualified hybrid technician should diagnose the vehicle before a battery is ordered.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: The 2025 Camry Hybrid’s new OEM high-voltage battery assembly is listed at about $5,512 MSRP, or approximately $3,761 through one online catalog before installation. A complete new-OEM repair commonly lands around $4,000–$6,000 in many U.S. markets, although regional estimates vary. Because Toyota’s hybrid-battery coverage is 10 years/150,000 miles, warranty verification and professional diagnosis should come before any paid replacement.
