The Ferrari F80 is Ferrari’s 1,200-horsepower hybrid halo car, limited to 799 examples worldwide. Unveiled on October 17, 2024, it launched at €3.6 million—about $3.9 million at the time—before personalization and market-specific charges. Its production allocation was reported sold out or assigned at launch, so the F80 is not a normal new Ferrari that an unallocated buyer can order from dealer inventory.
The Ferrari F80 is a 1,200-horsepower, mid-engine hybrid hypercar limited to 799 examples worldwide. The production allocation was reported sold out or assigned at launch, so the F80 is not a normal new-car order that a customer can simply request from a dealer.

Ferrari’s current delivery picture is also important: the company reported that F80 deliveries began in the fourth quarter of 2025 and would continue to affect deliveries through 2026 and beyond. In other words, cars reaching customers now are primarily handovers to previously selected clients, not newly available dealer inventory.

Ferrari F80 price and availability
The Ferrari F80 launched at €3.6 million, or roughly $3.9 million using the exchange rate reported around its launch. That figure is a starting price, not an all-in ownership cost: Ferrari’s personalization program, taxes, registration, delivery charges and market-specific fees can substantially change the final amount.
Ferrari limited production to 799 cars. Launch reporting indicated that the available allocation had already been sold or assigned when the car was presented publicly. That makes the F80 fundamentally different from a regular Ferrari model that might be configured and ordered through an ordinary dealer channel.
Ferrari’s FY2025 reporting said F80 deliveries started in the fourth quarter of 2025 and would continue to contribute to deliveries in 2026 and later. This does not mean that unsold F80s are sitting on dealer lots. It describes the gradual delivery of cars allocated to selected customers.

For a buyer without an existing Ferrari allocation, the practical answer is generally no through the standard factory-order process. The realistic possibilities are:
- An existing Ferrari-controlled allocation: a customer who was already selected and is progressing through specification, production and delivery.
- Private resale: a current owner may negotiate a transfer, subject to Ferrari policies and any contractual restrictions.
- Specialist collector-car transactions: a broker or collector-car dealer may handle an F80, but the transaction requires independent verification.
There is no responsible single “current F80 price” to quote without examining a specific car. Resale values depend on mileage, specification, delivery status, country, taxes, provenance, transfer restrictions and seller legitimacy. The €3.6 million launch price should not be presented as a guaranteed 2026 resale value.
Engine and hybrid powertrain
At the center of the F80 is a 2,992 cc, 120-degree twin-turbocharged V6. Ferrari lists the combustion engine at 900 cv at 8,750 rpm, with 850 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine’s maximum speed is 9,000 rpm, with a 9,200-rpm dynamic limiter. Its specific output is an extraordinary 300 cv per litre.
The hybrid system is made up of two electric motors on the front axle and a rear motor-generator unit known as the MGU-K. Ferrari quotes 300 horsepower from the electric system in addition to the combustion engine’s 900 horsepower, for a combined system figure of 1,200 horsepower.

The rear MGU-K can provide up to 70 kW during regenerative braking and 60 kW when assisting the internal-combustion engine. Each front motor is rated at 105 kW. The high-voltage battery is relatively small at 2.28 kWh and operates at up to 860 volts, reflecting the F80’s focus on performance, power delivery and energy recovery rather than long electric-only range.
Ferrari says the F80’s powertrain architecture and various components draw on technology developed for the 499P endurance racer. The 499P won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023 and 2024, giving the F80 a direct technology connection to Ferrari’s modern endurance-racing program.
Performance: 0–60 mph, top speed and braking
Ferrari publishes a 0–100 km/h time of 2.15 seconds and 0–200 km/h in 5.75 seconds. Ferrari quotes a top speed of 350 km/h, equivalent to approximately 217 mph.
For stopping performance, the published figures are:
- 100–0 km/h in 28 metres
- 200–0 km/h in 98 metres
The F80 uses Ferrari’s CCM-R Plus brake system, co-developed with Brembo. Ferrari describes it as the first road-car application of the system. As with the acceleration numbers, the braking distances are manufacturer figures and can vary with tires, surface, temperature and test conditions.
Aerodynamics, chassis and handling technology
The F80 is built around a carbon-fibre-intensive structure and uses active aerodynamics and active suspension. Ferrari quotes up to 1,050 kg of downforce. That is a maximum manufacturer claim rather than a universal value at every speed or in every configuration; aerodynamic load changes with speed, setup and test conditions.
Ferrari’s new SSC 9.0 vehicle-dynamics control system coordinates the car’s performance systems. The hybrid front axle contributes not only electric power but also all-wheel-drive traction and the ability to influence the car’s behavior through independently controlled front motors. Active suspension and aerodynamic devices are intended to keep the car stable and effective across a wide range of speeds rather than relying only on fixed bodywork.

The F80’s dry weight is listed at 1,525 kg, excluding optional content. Its 42.2-percent front and 57.8-percent rear weight distribution reflects its mid-engine layout and rear-biased performance focus. The dimensions are substantial—4,840 mm long and 2,060 mm wide—but the 1,138-mm height and low seating position give it the proportions expected of a flagship Ferrari hypercar.

Exterior design and cabin layout
The F80 uses butterfly doors mounted on a dual-axis hinge. Ferrari says they open vertically to nearly 90 degrees. Their carbon-fibre substructure is not purely ornamental; Ferrari also says it contributes to lateral-impact load management.
A front S-Duct manages airflow over the nose. Behind the cabin, the engine cover has six ventilation slots and a grille to help evacuate heat from the twin-turbo V6. The bodywork is therefore shaped as much by cooling and aerodynamic requirements as by styling.
Inside, the F80 uses a driver-centered 1+ seating layout. The driver has the primary position, while the passenger seat is set within a narrower cabin. Ferrari says the arrangement helps reduce drag and mass while retaining usable space for a passenger. The design incorporates aerospace-inspired details and visual references to Ferrari’s own history, including the F40.
Size, tires and practical details
Ferrari lists the F80 at 4,840 mm long, 2,060 mm wide and 1,138 mm tall, with a 2,665-mm wheelbase. The front track is 1,701 mm and the rear track is 1,660 mm.

The staggered tire specification is substantial:
- Front: 285/30 R20
- Rear: 345/30 R21
The car has a 63.5-litre fuel tank and 35 litres of luggage capacity. That luggage figure is enough for the sort of light, carefully planned trip associated with a two-seat performance car, but it is not comparable with the cargo capacity of a conventional grand tourer.
Ferrari F80 maintenance coverage
Ferrari advertises a seven-year scheduled-maintenance program for the F80. The program is available through Ferrari’s official dealership network worldwide and specifies service at 20,000-kilometre intervals or once per year, with no mileage restriction for the annual interval.

That is scheduled maintenance coverage—not a promise that every cost of ownership is included. Buyers should distinguish routine scheduled service from tires, brake wear, collision repairs, battery-related work, defects covered by a separate warranty, cosmetic repairs and personalization. The exact terms can also depend on the applicable market and Ferrari’s service documentation.
What can most people actually buy?
A full-size F80 is an allocation-only collector car, not a realistic new-car purchase for most readers. The most direct accessible alternative is a model-specific replica, such as a Ferrari F80 1:18 die-cast model. Availability, seller, price and delivery status should be checked at publication time because marketplace listings can change.
F80 scale-model alternatives
The Bburago 1:18 model is positioned as an officially licensed representation of the F80 and is substantially more accessible than the real car. It is a collectible display item, not a substitute for the engineering or ownership experience of the full-size Ferrari.
Collectors seeking a more premium piece can also look at limited-edition models from specialist makers. Amalgam lists a handcrafted 1:8 Ferrari F80 model limited to 199 pieces, while BBR-related retail listings describe a limited 1:18 F80 model with an estimated 2026 release. Those products may differ in price, scale, materials, production status and delivery timing, so buyers should verify the current listing directly before purchasing.
Ferrari’s official U.S. Store also maintains a scale-model and replica category. That confirms an official Ferrari collectible channel, but it does not by itself confirm that an F80-specific model is currently in stock or that a referral program is available in every region.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the Ferrari F80 matters
The F80 occupies Ferrari’s halo-car lineage alongside the GTO, F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari. Its significance is not simply the 1,200-horsepower headline. It combines a compact, high-specific-output V6 with a three-motor hybrid system, a racing-derived electrical architecture, active suspension, active aerodynamic control and a deliberately driver-focused cabin.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIt also represents Ferrari’s answer to a difficult hypercar brief: add electric assistance without turning the car into a heavy, range-oriented grand tourer. The small high-voltage battery is designed around rapid performance support and regeneration, while the 120-degree V6, carbon-intensive construction and extensive aerodynamic hardware keep the focus on response and circuit capability.
Bottom line
The Ferrari F80 is a 799-unit hybrid halo car with 1,200 horsepower, a 350-km/h top speed and Ferrari-claimed 0–100 km/h acceleration of 2.15 seconds. Its €3.6 million launch price and sold-out allocation make it effectively unavailable through ordinary new-car ordering. Ferrari’s reported 2026 deliveries are continuing handovers to already selected customers, not evidence of open dealer inventory.
