The race at Melbourne’s Albert Park took place on Sunday, March 8, with George Russell winning ahead of Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc. A live stream is therefore no longer available, but official highlights and broadcaster replays may still be accessible.
Where you can watch depends on your country. Apple TV had the exclusive U.S. rights, Foxtel carried the race in Australia, and Sky Sports/NOW held the live rights in the UK and Ireland.

United States: watch through Apple TV
Apple TV became Formula 1’s exclusive U.S. broadcaster for the 2026 season. That means older advice pointing U.S. viewers to ESPN for this race is out of date. Apple TV carried practice, qualifying, Sprint sessions and the race live and on demand.
To check for a replay:
- Open the Apple TV app.
- Open the sidebar.
- Select Formula 1.
- Browse the event and programming rows.
- Select the Australian Grand Prix event or replay if it is still listed.
- If prompted, select Subscribe and follow the onscreen instructions.
Apple’s live-event controls include Watch Live, Start Over and alternative commentary languages. Because the Australian Grand Prix is complete, those live controls should not be expected to appear for this event.

The Apple TV app is available on Apple devices, selected smart TVs, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation, Xbox and the web.
F1 TV Premium is not a separate U.S. live-stream subscription for the 2026 season. Apple said F1 TV content is available in the United States through Apple TV and included with an Apple TV subscription.
Australia: Foxtel and Foxtel Go
In Australia, Foxtel carries Formula 1 through FOX SPORTS. Its coverage includes every practice session, qualifying session and race, along with on-demand access and mobile streaming through Foxtel Go.

Sky customers with the appropriate subscription could use this route while the event was live:
- Open the Sky Sports app.
- Go to Watch.
- Select Sky Sports F1 or Sky Sports Main Event.
- Sign in with a Sky iD if requested.
NOW customers need to use the NOW app or website with a Sports Membership. However, NOW’s Australian Grand Prix page currently says, “This race is unavailable,” and promotes the remaining F1 season instead. That makes NOW an option for future races, not a confirmed source for a live or full replay of this one.

Formula 1 has published “Race Highlights: 2026 Australian Grand Prix.” The video is approximately eight minutes long and is a highlights package, not a complete race replay.

What not to rely on
- ESPN in the U.S.: its previous F1 role does not apply to the 2026 U.S. season after Apple TV’s exclusive rights agreement began.
- A generic free-streaming search: unofficial streams can disappear, contain misleading play buttons or expose viewers to malware and aggressive advertising.
- An F1 TV subscription without checking territory: live rights are country-specific, and F1 TV is not a separate U.S. live subscription for this season.
- A live-event page for a finished race: options such as Watch Live and Start Over are normally removed once the broadcast ends.
FAQ
Is the 2026 Australian Grand Prix still live?
No. The race finished on March 8, 2026, at Albert Park in Melbourne. You need a replay or highlights rather than a live stream.
How can I watch the 2026 Australian Grand Prix in the United States?
Open the Apple TV app, choose Formula 1 from the sidebar and search the Australian Grand Prix event row. Apple TV was the exclusive U.S. broadcaster for the 2026 season.
Can I watch the race free on YouTube?
Formula 1 has an official highlights video of approximately eight minutes. That is not a full-race replay. Avoid treating unofficial full-race uploads or streaming links as reliable or authorized coverage.

The official race start was 04:00 UTC on March 8, 2026. It aired at 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time and 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time on March 7 in the United States, and at 4:00 a.m. UK time on March 8.
The Bottom Line
There is no longer a live stream of the 2026 Australian Grand Prix. U.S. viewers should check Apple TV, Australian viewers should check Foxtel or Foxtel Go, and viewers in the UK and Ireland should check their Sky recording or on-demand library. For a free official option, Formula 1’s race highlights and related onboard and radio clips remain the safest place to start.
