That combination is the point: the Booba is intended for small cars and electric vehicles that cannot tow a conventional caravan. It is not a 530-lb RV with a hard-sided interior, nor is it a four-person camper. It is better described as a lightweight micro-camping trailer that uses an inflatable air frame to create its living space.

In transit, the Booba resembles a smooth, rounded automotive-style pod. At the campsite, its top opens forward and deployable legs support the lid. Fabric sections are tightened, the inflatable frame is aired up, and stakes and guy lines secure the shelter.

The result is closer to a raised tent room than to a conventional travel trailer. You get a floor and sleeping platform above the ground, along with a built-in seating area, but the main camping volume depends on fabric and an air-supported structure rather than permanent rigid walls.
Urbanoid has presented the Booba as road legal and specifically aimed at small urban cars and EVs. Those descriptions reflect the product’s European-market positioning; buyers elsewhere still need to confirm local trailer, lighting, registration, hitch and towing requirements.

The different length figures are not necessarily contradictory. They describe the trailer with the drawbar extended, shortened, or removed. The 530-lb number is also an empty-weight figure, not the weight a tow vehicle will necessarily see on the road. A loaded trailer could be substantially heavier once occupants’ gear, water, power stations and accessories are added.

How the inflatable setup works
- Open the upper clamshell section.
- Deploy the support legs attached to the tow bar.
- Tighten the fabric components and connect the shelter sections.
- Inflate the air frame with the supplied hand pump or optional electric pump.
- Stake the shelter and tension the guy lines.
- Arrange the cushions, removable table and stored equipment inside.
New Atlas reported that the electric-pump configuration can inflate the structure in under two minutes. That is a product-report figure, not an independently timed test by this article, and the complete setup will take longer because opening, staking, tensioning and interior arrangement remain.
The electric pump is a meaningful option for anyone who dislikes the repetitive work of inflating a large shelter. A portable electric air pump for camping may be useful for similar inflatable camping equipment, but buyers should verify the valve connection, pressure requirement and whether the pump is suitable for the Booba before purchasing one separately.
Inside: a two-person bed and four-person dinette
The interior follows a lounge-to-bed layout. A wraparound sofa surrounds a central dining table, and the sofa cushions form the sleeping surface at night. The reported bed is more than 73 inches (185 cm) long and about 54 inches (136 cm) wide at the shoulders.

ADAC describes the padded sleeping area as approximately 2.4 by 1.3 m, with more than 150 liters of integrated storage. It also reports a cooling compartment, USB and electrical connections, and a table measuring roughly 50 by 60 cm. Equipment details may vary by specification or production configuration, so these figures should not be treated as a complete, immutable specification sheet.
The table and interior seating can accommodate up to four people for meals. That does not mean the Booba sleeps four. The published material supports two sleeping places, and there is no clear evidence that the dining area converts into a second family bed.
Mezzo versus Pro equipment
Urbanoid planned two launch grades. The reported prices below are historical launch figures from New Atlas, not verified current retail prices or current U.S. currency conversions.

EcoFlow identifies the base EcoFlow RIVER 3 as a 245-Wh portable power station with 300 W of rated output and up to 600 W using its X-Boost feature, plus AC, DC and USB connectivity. That explains why it suits the Booba’s compact electrical concept. It does not independently confirm that two RIVER 3 units are included in every current Booba Pro package, so the bundle must be checked with Urbanoid or an authorized seller.
The Pro grade adds useful conveniences, but it also adds equipment weight and cost. Buyers comparing the two versions should ask for the delivered trailer’s actual mass in their chosen configuration, not rely on the 240-kg base figure.

Exterior features and options
The composite shell has rounded, automotive-inspired styling. The telescopic drawbar is functional: it can extend for towing, retract for maneuvering and shorten the trailer’s storage footprint. Two rear outlets resemble exhaust tips; one houses the external shower connection and the other accommodates the shore-power hookup.

Reported options include:
- A vertical storage stand or rocker frame for standing the trailer against a garage wall.
- A bicycle carrier.
- A swing-out barbecue stand.
- An exterior shower cubicle.
There is no reported full built-in kitchen in the launch configuration. The barbecue stand is an outdoor cooking accessory, not a replacement for a kitchen with a stove, sink, refrigerator and food-preparation counter.
Why the Booba is interesting for car owners
It targets vehicles that normally cannot tow a camper
At roughly 530 lb empty, the Booba’s concept is aimed at a much wider range of tow vehicles than a conventional caravan. That includes small hatchbacks, compact cars and some EVs. But the tow rating is only one part of the calculation: the car’s hitch approval, tongue-weight limit, trailer-brake requirements, loaded trailer weight and local regulations all matter.
EV owners should also account for range and charging logistics. A trailer increases aerodynamic drag and rolling resistance, while the real-world impact depends on the vehicle, speed, terrain, weather and total load. The Booba’s low mass helps, but it does not make towing electrically neutral.

With the drawbar shortened or removed and an optional stand, the pod can be stored vertically. That could matter to apartment dwellers or owners whose garages cannot accommodate a full-length caravan. Before buying, measure the complete storage path: doorway height and width, ceiling clearance, floor strength, turning space and the method used to raise the trailer all matter.
It avoids sleeping directly on the ground
The raised bed and built-in lounge address one of tent camping’s biggest compromises. You still deal with tent-like fabric, stakes and weather exposure, but the sleeping surface is elevated and the furniture stays organized inside the pod.
Where the Booba falls short
- It is a two-person camper. Four people can reportedly sit around the table, but the published sleeping capacity is two.
- It is not a full RV. There is no reported built-in kitchen, bathroom or hard-sided living cabin.
- The inflatable structure needs care. Punctures, abrasion, leaks, wet storage and campsite debris create a different maintenance profile from an all-hard-sided trailer. The reviewed material does not provide an independent durability test or a complete repair policy.
- The lightest advertised weight is not the travel weight. Water, power stations, bedding, food, bikes and luggage all increase the load.
- Setup is not just inflation. The under-two-minute figure concerns inflating the structure with the electric-pump setup; staking and furnishing the shelter take additional time.
- Cooking and utilities are limited. The Pro specification adds a water tank, pump and shower, but that is not the same as a complete onboard kitchen or bathroom.
Availability: planned launch versus confirmed supply
New Atlas reported in September 2025 that Urbanoid expected ordering to open through Dutch RV retailer Kliff within the following two months, with deliveries planned for the first quarter of 2026. Urbanoid also intended to sell directly while expanding its retail network.

Those were planned launch milestones. The available evidence does not verify that ordering opened, that the Q1 2026 deliveries occurred, or that the Booba is currently available in the United States. Urbanoid’s product post describes the trailer as road legal and intended for small cars and EVs, but it does not establish current inventory, pricing or North American distribution.
Anyone considering one should obtain written confirmation of current order status, delivery timing, final specification, warranty, spare air-frame parts, registration documents, shipping costs, taxes and regional compliance. U.S. buyers would additionally need to verify import arrangements, state registration, lighting and safety requirements, hitch compatibility and whether the trailer can legally be operated in their state.

The Booba makes the most sense for a couple who wants a quick weekend shelter, owns a properly equipped small tow vehicle, values compact storage and is comfortable with tent-like fabric components. It is particularly interesting when a conventional caravan is too heavy, too large or impossible to store.
It is a poor match for a family needing four beds, travelers expecting a full kitchen and bathroom, or buyers who want the lowest-maintenance hard-sided trailer possible. It also should not be purchased on the assumption that the reported European launch price or road-legal status automatically applies in another country.
