For trip planning, use the WLTP figure where it is available and leave a buffer for motorway speeds, cold weather, hills, traffic and cabin heating or cooling. The Australian specification also quotes 13.9 kWh/100 km under the ADR test procedure; that is a laboratory figure, not a guaranteed consumption rate in every driving condition.
How fast does the J5 EV charge?
The J5 EV supports up to 130 kW DC charging. The South African specification and NRMA report an approximate 28-minute charge from 30% to 80%. Actual time varies with battery temperature, charger output, the vehicle’s state of charge and whether another vehicle is sharing the site.
