Amazon’s U.S. Prime Big Deal Days run October 6–7, 2026, but no dash-cam deal or discount has been confirmed. Use the time before the event to choose the features you need; when listings go live, compare the full cost and terms rather than relying on the advertised markdown. Amazon says dates may vary by country.
What to know about Prime Big Deal Days 2026
Amazon’s U.S. announcement describes Prime Big Deal Days as 48 hours of Prime member-exclusive deals across more than 35 categories. Those are Amazon’s event details, not a measure of savings—and they do not confirm that any dash cam will be discounted. Check your local Amazon store for dates and availability; Amazon’s announcement says, “Dates may vary per country.”
Amazon’s event information is available from its U.S. Press Center and its Prime Big Deal Days 2026 deals, tips, and updates page. A dash-cam price, stock status, or event promotion should be treated as unconfirmed until it appears in a live local listing.
Choose the camera you need before comparing prices
Write down the coverage and features you actually want before shopping. That makes it easier to distinguish a useful offer from a discount on a model that lacks something important.

- Coverage: Decide whether front-only recording is enough or whether you want front-and-rear coverage or additional cameras. Confirm which cameras and cables are included.
- Video: Compare resolution and frame rate, as well as field of view. Higher resolution alone does not guarantee footage will capture every detail you need.
- GPS and connectivity: Check whether the model includes GPS and how footage transfers—such as through a wireless connection or removable storage.
- Parking recording: Confirm that the camera supports the parking behavior you want and what power connection it requires. Requirements differ by model.
- Ongoing and setup costs: Check for any cloud or remote-view subscription, compatible power cable, memory card, or installation cost you would need to add.
Use specifications as a checklist, not a ranking
For a concrete example, Garmin lists the Dash Cam X310 as a 4K touchscreen camera with a 140-degree field of view and built-in polarizer. Those specifications help illustrate what to compare; they do not establish that the X310 is discounted, in stock, or the right fit for every driver.
Account for parking-mode power and accessories
Parking recording may require a separately purchased, model-compatible cable connected to constant vehicle power. Garmin says its USB-C Parking Mode Cable is compatible with the X110, X210, X310, and Mini 3; it is four meters long and provides constant power for parking use. Confirm compatibility with the exact camera and check whether the listing includes the cable before comparing totals.

- Verify the listing: Check the exact model, seller, stock status, and whether the offer is available in your country and to your account.
- Compare the price, not just the markdown: Look at recent price history where available, and compare the current price with the same model rather than a different version or bundle.
- Check what is in the box: Confirm camera count, included accessories, and whether any required parking cable or other compatible accessory costs extra.
- Calculate the complete outlay: Add required accessories, any recurring subscription, and installation if you need it. A low camera price may not be the lowest total cost.
- Read the terms: Check return conditions and any restrictions that apply to the listing before placing an order.
- Recheck compatibility: Verify that the camera, parking cable, and intended setup work together using the manufacturer’s model-specific information.
