Consequently, there is no verified DURGA application walkthrough to follow at present. Any page claiming to provide a confirmed DURGA form, fee, quota rule or guaranteed permit should be treated cautiously unless the same route is identified in a current official Transport Department notice.
Is the DURGA application open?
The available official material does not establish that applications are open. It also does not establish that an application window has been announced or that a waiting list exists. A budget announcement can authorize or describe an intended programme without creating an immediately usable online service.

Do not rely on a forwarded message, social-media post or search result that does not lead back to an official source.
- Read the eligibility section before creating an account. The budget does not state age, residence, driving-licence, income, vehicle, gender-identity or other eligibility conditions. Use the definitions, quota language and supporting-document rules in the eventual DURGA notification, not historical e-auto rules.
- Collect only the documents the notice requests. No DURGA document list has been published in the available material. Do not upload identity, licence, bank or certificate records to an unverified website simply because it asks for them. Make sure names, dates of birth and addresses match the official records the notice requires.
- Open the application link from the notice. Follow the exact URL and service name supplied by the government. Check that the connection is secure, the domain is an official government domain and the page describes DURGA rather than a different transport service. Do not guess a URL from the scheme’s name.
- Complete the form carefully. Enter information exactly as your documents show it. If the form asks you to select a category, quota or permit type, use the wording in the notice. Save a draft if the portal offers that function, and review every field before final submission.
- Pay only an officially stated charge. The budget highlights do not state an application fee, permit fee, vehicle price, subsidy or interest support for DURGA. If a fee is introduced, the notice should identify the amount, payment gateway, receipt and refund or cancellation terms. Never transfer money to a personal account or to a link sent privately.
- Submit once and save the acknowledgement. After submission, download or print the acknowledgement page and save the application or reference number, date and time, uploaded files and any receipt. A screenshot is useful, but keep the original downloaded PDF or email as well.
- Use the status method named on that acknowledgement. The receipt may provide a portal, service name, helpline or office instruction. That specific instruction takes priority over generic Delhi government tracking pages.
How to track an application that you have already submitted
If you applied through a link published in an official DURGA notice, retain the acknowledgement or reference number. The receipt or scheme instructions should identify the correct status channel. Enter the number exactly as issued, including letters, zeroes and hyphens, and use the applicant details requested by that channel.
When the receipt names a dedicated DURGA tracker
Use the dedicated tracker and follow its status definitions. Save a copy of each status screen and note the date you checked. If the status says that clarification or an additional document is required, respond only through the official method and before the deadline shown in the notice.

When the receipt directs you to e-District Delhi
Delhi’s generic e-District application tracker displays fields for a department and service, an application or reference number and the applicant’s name. The available material does not verify that DURGA is listed there or that this tracker handles DURGA applications. Use it for DURGA only if a current official DURGA instruction explicitly directs you to select that department and service. If the scheme is absent from the menus, do not substitute a similarly named service.

Do not infer a tracker from an old e-auto page or create a second application merely because you cannot find a status screen. Recheck the notice and acknowledgement for an alternate channel, such as a designated office or helpline, and use only contact details printed in that official material. Keep proof of submission while you seek clarification.
When a reference number returns “not found”
- Confirm that you selected the exact department and service specified by the notice.
- Check whether the portal requires the applicant’s name in a particular format.
- Re-enter the reference number manually to avoid copying an extra space.
- Allow for any processing interval stated in the acknowledgement.
- If the problem continues, contact the official channel listed on the receipt and provide the reference number, submission date and a screenshot of the error. Do not publish your identity documents or full application details on public forums.
Information that is still missing
A complete DURGA application guide will require a formal notification or portal instructions. The current budget proposal does not answer the following questions:

Historic Delhi e-auto rules: useful context, not DURGA eligibility
Delhi’s Electric Vehicles Policy 2020 described an earlier e-auto permit framework. It referred to an open, first-come-first-served process and said an individual with a valid light motor vehicle driving licence and a public service vehicle (PSV) badge could apply, subject to one e-auto per individual under that policy.
Those statements belong to the 2020 policy. They do not prove that DURGA will use the same licence, badge, ownership or allocation conditions in 2026–27. A new scheme can change categories, quotas, selection methods and supporting documents. Treat the 2020 policy as background only until a DURGA notification adopts any of its terms.
A separate historic Transport Department terms document describes an earlier e-auto allotment process and references a MyEV/CESL single-window route for vehicle purchase and incentive or interest-subvention steps. It is not evidence that MyEV is the DURGA application portal. Do not enter a DURGA application there unless a new official notice explicitly confirms that route.

The official Switch Delhi campaigns and events page also records an earlier phase involving 4,261 e-auto permits and a 33% reservation for women. Those figures describe that earlier rollout, not the DURGA proposal. They cannot be added to the 1,000-women and 100-transgender target or used to predict the new scheme’s allocation.
Why old permit instructions can mislead applicants
Historical material often appears prominently in search results because Delhi has operated more than one e-auto initiative. A document can be genuine and still be irrelevant to DURGA. The key distinctions are the programme name, publication date, issuing authority, application period and whether the notice expressly says it applies to DURGA.
- An old “first-come-first-served” rule does not establish that DURGA will be first-come-first-served.
- An old requirement for an LMV licence or PSV badge does not establish that either document is required, sufficient or current for DURGA.
- A MyEV or CESL purchase workflow does not establish that it accepts DURGA permit applications.
- An earlier women’s reservation percentage does not establish DURGA’s quota or selection order.
- A historic permit number does not increase or reduce the 2026–27 proposed target.

Before entering personal information, check that the announcement answers the practical questions a real application requires:

- The exact scheme name and the phase or financial year covered.
- Opening and closing dates, including the time zone or cut-off time if relevant.
- Eligibility definitions for women and transgender applicants and any residence, age, licence or income conditions.
- A complete document list, file-format or size rules and a correction window.
- The permit-allocation method and what happens if applications exceed the target.
- The official application URL or physical submission address.
- Any fee, payment gateway, refund rule, vehicle or dealer requirement and registration sequence.
- The acknowledgement format and the exact status-tracking or contact channel.
- An official contact point for accessibility, language or technical problems.
If several of these items are missing, the page may be an announcement rather than an open application. Save it for reference, but wait for the operational notice before applying.
Practical preparation without guessing the rules
You can prepare without assuming that a particular document will be required. Keep your identity and vehicle-related records secure and current, but upload nothing until the official checklist is published. Make sure any licence or PSV badge information you may rely on is valid if the eventual notice asks for it; the 2020 policy’s requirements are historical, not a promise about DURGA.
Use a dedicated folder for the eventual acknowledgement, reference number, submitted form, receipts and official messages. Record the date and URL of every submission or status check. This creates a reliable history if the portal later asks you to correct information or if a technical error needs investigation.

Applicants who need assistance should look for an accessibility or assisted-submission option in the official notice. Do not give a one-time password, digital signature, payment PIN or complete identity documents to an intermediary who cannot show an authorization tied to the DURGA notice.

Applying through an unofficial form
Problem: A website or message asks for money or documents while claiming that DURGA registration is open.
Response: Stop, do not submit further information, and verify the route against a current Delhi government notice. The budget proposal alone is not an application link.
Using a historic MyEV or e-auto page
Problem: An older page describes vehicle purchase or incentives and appears relevant to a new permit.
Response: Use it only as historical context. It becomes a DURGA route only when a current official instruction says so.

Problem: The generic tracker offers a department or service that sounds close to e-auto permits.

Response: Do not guess. Select DURGA only if the official scheme instructions identify that exact service; otherwise contact the channel on your acknowledgement or wait for a dedicated tracker.
Submitting duplicate applications
Problem: A delayed acknowledgement tempts you to apply again.
Response: Check the submission record and official status instructions first. A duplicate could create conflicting records if the scheme later limits one application per person.
Assuming a permit guarantees a vehicle
Problem: An applicant treats the proposed permit assistance as a confirmed vehicle purchase, subsidy or financing approval.
Response: Wait for the published vehicle, dealer, registration and financial terms. The budget highlights do not establish any of those details.
Permits, vehicles, costs and allocation
The proposed target concerns assistance in obtaining new auto permits. It does not state the price of an e-auto, a subsidy amount, an interest rate, a registration charge, a permit fee or an approved vehicle list. It also does not say whether the permit and vehicle purchase are handled in one transaction or in separate stages.
Likewise, there is no confirmed DURGA allocation formula. The earlier 2020 policy’s first-come-first-served language and the earlier 33% women’s reservation cannot be carried forward without an explicit DURGA rule. Wait for the notice to explain whether applications are ranked, drawn, assessed or accepted in another order.
