These are Harley-Davidson’s published 2026 figures, not independent test results. The 2024 launch bike had a reported $42,999 MSRP in Hot Bike’s coverage; that earlier price should not be read as the current model’s price.

What makes this bagger a performance model?
The ST uses the 121 High Output version of Harley-Davidson’s Milwaukee-Eight engine. Harley-Davidson says it forgoes variable valve timing to prioritize top-end power and weighs two pounds less than touring variants. Its other performance-focused hardware includes a Heavy Breather intake, titanium-capped mufflers, fully adjustable SHOWA suspension, and Brembo radial brakes. The six-inch-riser moto-style handlebar gives the cockpit a more assertive, upright layout than a conventional touring setup.

Harley-Davidson also uses forged carbon for the front fender, console and seat cowl. That material helps distinguish the CVO trim visually, alongside the engine and chassis equipment; it is not evidence that the bike is built to race regulations.
Hot Bike’s 2024 technical account attributes that model year’s output to hotter cams, a high-performance intake, ECU mapping and a 5,900-rpm redline. It also reported the 2024 ST was 25 pounds lighter than its sister Road Glide and lacked passenger accommodations. Those weight and equipment details are specific to the 2024 account; they should not be assumed for the 2026 model without a current specification confirming them.

How do Road, Sport, Rain, Track and Track+ differ?
The 2026 model lists eight ride modes: Road, Rain, Sport, Track, Track+ and three Custom settings. Harley-Davidson describes Track and Track+ as selectable ways to fine-tune power delivery and safety-system behavior. The modes are not permission to exceed the available grip.

Hot Bike’s description of the earlier ST implementation explains the track distinction: Track and Track+ can change power delivery, engine braking, cornering ABS, cornering traction control, electronically linked braking and drag-torque slip control. It reports that Track mode was developed with racer Kyle Wyman’s input for dry track days, while Track Plus reduces intervention further. The same article says Track 1’s mapping matched Wyman’s Mission King of the Baggers race-Road-Glide mapping. Those detailed descriptions refer to the earlier implementation; the 2026 official page confirms the mode names and broad purpose, but does not publish equivalent mode-by-mode calibration details in the supplied specifications.

Electronic controls can manage how the motorcycle responds, but they cannot create traction. Paint, debris, standing water, tires, temperature and rider inputs still limit what the tires can do, so Track settings are a poor choice for public-road experimentation.
Is it a race bike or a touring motorcycle?
It is a road-legal CVO touring-platform motorcycle with race-inspired performance features. Harley-Davidson says the 2026 ST draws inspiration from its x Dynojet Factory Race Team motorcycles in MotoAmerica’s Mission King of the Baggers series. That connection explains the track-focused modes and aggressive engine tune; it does not make the showroom bike identical to a race machine.

Hot Bike reported that King of the Baggers race bikes had exceeded 180 mph at Daytona. That figure belongs to the race machines, not to the street-legal CVO Road Glide ST, and it is not a published top-speed claim for this model.

Hot Bike described Cruise, Sport, Tour and Blank display layouts on the 2024 bike and noted that embedded navigation was then a $350 option. That historical option price does not establish 2026 pricing or packaging; the current official page lists navigation among the 2026 features.
