The Aprilia’s reported special launch price places it in a premium scooter bracket. It is an introductory ex-showroom Maharashtra amount, not an on-road quote, and the manufacturer or dealers may revise it after the launch period.

The Destini figures come from Hero MotoCorp’s September 2025 launch announcement for Delhi. They are historical introductory ex-showroom prices for the VX and ZX versions, not a promise of what a dealer will charge today. Delhi and Maharashtra also have different registration, insurance and tax calculations, so the two headline figures are not a like-for-like invoice comparison.
Before booking either scooter, ask a local dealer for a written on-road breakup covering the exact variant, registration, insurance, handling or logistics charges and any accessories. Compare the final payable amounts in your city, then check whether the Aprilia’s launch price is still available. A higher ex-showroom price can also raise the cost of insurance and financing, even when the difference in monthly payment appears small.
Engine performance and the type of riding each suits
Aprilia SXR GT 175: more reserve for faster roads
The Aprilia’s larger displacement and higher output are the central reasons to buy it. Its engine produces its peak torque lower in the rev range than peak power, which should give the CVT more flexibility when accelerating from traffic lights, carrying a passenger or maintaining speed on open urban roads. The maxi-style format also signals a scooter intended to feel less strained when trips extend beyond a short neighbourhood commute.
That does not turn it into a motorcycle or guarantee a particular top speed. Traffic, rider weight, gradients, wind and the CVT calibration all affect acceleration. The useful conclusion is narrower: compared with the 110 cc Hero, the SXR GT 175 has a much larger performance reserve for flyovers, ring roads and two-up riding.

Hero Destini 110: adequate output for routine commuting
The Destini’s engine is tuned for the high-volume family-scooter role. Its power and torque figures are appropriate for stop-start city traffic, short commutes and errands where compact dimensions and predictable throttle response matter more than overtaking reserve. A lighter, smaller scooter can also be easier to manoeuvre into a tight parking space, although actual ease depends on the rider and the loaded weight.
Riders who regularly use high-speed corridors, carry an adult passenger over hills or want effortless acceleration after 60 km/h should test both models rather than assuming a 110 cc scooter will meet those demands. Those who spend most of the week on local streets may find the Destini’s output sufficient and avoid paying for performance they rarely use.

What is known about the Destini 110
Hero MotoCorp lists a claimed mileage of 56.2 km/l on its current product specification page, accessed in 2026. It is a manufacturer claim, not a guaranteed result. Hero’s own documentation cautions that actual mileage varies with riding conditions, so traffic density, tyre pressures, payload, speeds, maintenance and riding style will move the real number up or down.

This uncertainty matters because the Aprilia’s larger engine is likely to consume more fuel in comparable use, but the available evidence does not justify assigning it a number. A long seat does not automatically fit every rider. A passenger should sit on the actual scooter before purchase and check whether the backrest supports the lower back without forcing an upright or cramped posture.

The SXR’s physical size may suit a rider who wants a more substantial riding position, yet it can also make U-turns, narrow lanes and crowded parking less convenient than a compact family scooter. Check the seat reach with both feet, the steering lock at walking pace and the effort required to move the scooter backwards before deciding that its touring posture is right for you.
How to make the comfort decision honestly
Arrange a dealer ride that includes the roads you use most often. Evaluate the seat after at least 20 minutes, not only during a five-minute loop. Take a passenger if two-up travel is important, and check whether a full-face helmet or daily bag can be stored without interfering with the floorboard or seat. Destini’s simpler instrument approach
The Destini 110 uses a digi-analog speedometer and a projector LED headlamp, with equipment depending on the selected version. Its simpler interface may appeal to riders who want clear speed information and fewer connected functions. Buyers should inspect the exact VX or ZX equipment list because feature availability is not identical across trims.
Safety, wheels and braking
The Aprilia is reported with a front disc and single-channel ABS. ABS can help reduce front-wheel lock during hard braking on a slippery or uneven surface, but single-channel systems do not provide the same intervention on both wheels as a dual-channel arrangement. The available material mentions a top box among SXR GT accessories, yet exact SXR GT 175 fitment and current India stock should be confirmed with an Aprilia dealer before treating it as part of the purchase plan.
