AAWireless TWO launched on October 20, 2024, at a U.S. launch price of $64.99. It made the original wireless Android Auto adapter about 30% smaller, added a more visible status light and a configurable physical button for pairing, standby and switching between phones. But the standard TWO supports Android Auto only—not CarPlay—and it works only in a car where wired Android Auto already works. The launch date and price are historical; check the seller for current pricing and availability.
What AAWireless TWO does
AAWireless TWO turns a working wired Android Auto connection into a wireless one. It plugs into the car’s USB data port, so you can leave the phone in your pocket instead of connecting it by cable for each trip. Bluetooth handles the initial pairing and exchange of Wi-Fi credentials; Wi-Fi carries the main connection.

It does not add Android Auto to a car that lacks it, and it does not repair an Android Auto connection that already fails over USB. Before buying, plug your Android phone directly into the car and confirm that Android Auto starts.
What changed from the original AAWireless
A smaller adapter
AAWireless and launch coverage described the TWO as approximately 30% smaller than the original model. The smaller housing may be easier to tuck near a USB port, though the adapter still connects to the car with a USB cable. The 30% figure is the manufacturer’s launch comparison, not an independent measurement.

- Compatible with wired-only Android Auto systems
- Requires Android 11+
- Multifunctional button for easy phone pairing and switching
- Connects unlimited phones, perfect for road trips
- Plug & play setup, no tech skills needed
A physical button for multiple phones
The multifunction button can be used to pair a phone, switch between paired phones, or put the adapter into standby. The companion app lets users configure button actions. Exact press patterns can depend on the app and firmware, so check the current app instructions rather than assuming a particular single-, double- or long-press mapping.
A more visible status light and a redesigned app
The more prominent LED makes connection status easier to see. AAWireless says a solid blue light indicates that Wi-Fi connectivity has been established after the initial Bluetooth exchange. The app supports setup, firmware updates, troubleshooting, device settings and button configuration; some advanced options, such as display or DPI adjustments, may also be available.
Android Central’s review reported smooth operation and useful phone switching, but also noted that initial connections could take longer than a wired connection. That is a reviewer’s experience with its tested setup, not a guaranteed result for every car and phone.

AAWireless TWO does not support CarPlay
The standard TWO is an Android Auto adapter, not a universal wireless phone adapter. It does not provide wireless Apple CarPlay. AAWireless said stable CarPlay support required different hardware, which is why it planned a separate TWO+ rather than treating CarPlay as a software update.
AAWireless’s current product page distinguishes the Android Auto-only TWO from TWO+, which supports both Android Auto and CarPlay. TWO+ is the relevant model for an iPhone user or a household that needs both platforms; confirm its current regional availability and price with the seller. See 9to5Google’s report on the hardware reason for the separate CarPlay model and the official AAWireless product comparison.
Check compatibility before buying
- Wired Android Auto must already work. Test with the phone connected directly to the car’s USB data port.
- The phone must be compatible with Android Auto. The standard TWO is not for iPhones.
- The USB port must carry data. A charging-only port cannot provide the required Android Auto connection.
- Cars with native wireless Android Auto do not need this adapter. AAWireless says vehicles already equipped with wireless Android Auto or CarPlay are not compatible with the dongle.
- The adapter is not a cable-free installation. It connects to the car using its USB cable, even though the phone connects wirelessly.
AAWireless lists an adapter, a short USB-C-to-USB-A data cable and a quick-start manual among the included items. Packaging can vary by region, so check the particular retail listing. The company lists a two-year warranty for units bought through Amazon or its official webshop; verify the terms for your region and seller.

It makes sense for wired-only Android Auto
Consider it if wired Android Auto works in your car, you want to avoid plugging in on every trip, and your phone uses Android Auto. The button’s phone-switching function may be especially useful in a vehicle shared by several Android users.

For an iPhone or a mixed Android-and-iPhone household, look at TWO+ rather than assuming standard TWO will cover both platforms. AAWireless’s current comparison identifies TWO+ as the model supporting Android Auto and CarPlay. Other alternatives include Motorola MA1 for wireless Android Auto, Carsifi for multi-phone pairing, and Carlinkit 5.0 for buyers comparing broader platform support. Reviewers have raised trade-offs around configuration, support visibility or firmware updates for competing products, so check current documentation and availability rather than treating any one review as a universal verdict. Android Central’s AAWireless TWO review discusses these adapters and its own setup experience.
Best Value
- Keep Your Phone in Your Pocket: Turn factory wired CarPlay or Android Auto into a wireless setup and keep using your car’s original screen. This 2-in-1 wireless adapter is ideal for households with both iPhone and Android phones sharing a vehicle. Connects to one phone at a time; disconnect the current phone before connecting another.
- Plug and Play for Everyday Drives: Just plug the adapter into your car’s USB data port and pair your phone via Bluetooth. After the initial setup, it reconnects automatically on later drives, so you can skip the usual plug-and-unplug routine—whether it’s your morning commute or a quick errand. Keep Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled.
- Less Clutter Around the Console: A compact wireless adapter that helps reduce phone cable clutter running across your console every time you drive. The mini dongle takes up little space and includes two extension cables for USB-A and USB-C data ports, making the adapter easier to position around recessed or hard-to-reach ports.
- Your Usual Apps, Now Wireless: Follow your route, put on a playlist, take a call, or use voice commands through CarPlay or Android Auto. Bluetooth 5.4 handles pairing, while Wi-Fi 6 carries the wireless connection. Works with your car’s supported steering wheel, knob, and touchscreen controls, with fewer phone cables to manage.
- Check the Fit Before You Buy: Your car needs factory wired CarPlay for a compatible iPhone (iOS 10 or later), or factory wired Android Auto for a compatible Android phone running Android 11 or later. Connect your phone with a USB data cable first to check that the matching system works. Not for BMW, Tesla, or aftermarket head units. Video playback, screen mirroring are not supported.
Skip the adapter if wireless Android Auto is already built in
If your car already offers native wireless Android Auto, the TWO adds little. If wired Android Auto itself is unreliable, address that connection first: the adapter depends on it rather than replacing the car’s Android Auto capability.
For more launch context, Android Authority’s coverage also outlines the product’s size and button changes and the CarPlay limitation.
