What means pro-rated you ask?
A pro-rated warranty is based on this exact formula.
(Age of battery) Divided by 60 Times the new battery price.
So if you bought your battery 3 years and 5 months ago, the age will equal 41 months and let’s say the price of your new battery is 100 bucks. Then the following formula would be the following:
41 / 60 * 100 = 68.33$

Does the new battery I get as a replacement come with its own new warranty, effectively restarting a warranty?
The short answer is no because of the old warranty you have is still active.
To restart the Walmarts warranty process you need to buy a new battery at full price. There is a lot of people sending in claims because of this, but in reality, it makes a lot of sense since Walmart cant give away free batteries either.
