The figures have also changed since Jeep’s November 2025 announcement, so it helps to distinguish what the company said then from what it advertises now.
Is the Jeep Recon finally here?
Yes: as of October 4, 2026, Jeep’s U.S. Recon page presents the 2026 model with build and dealer-finder actions and describes limited quantities. That is evidence the Recon is being marketed, not proof that a particular dealership has one ready for delivery. Use Jeep’s dealer finder, then ask the dealer to confirm the exact trim, vehicle status, and delivery timing.
The announcement-to-marketing shift matters because some published specifications differ. Jeep’s November 2025 launch announcement quoted 650 horsepower and estimated range up to 250 miles depending on trim. Jeep’s current page advertises up to 670 horsepower. What range and performance does Jeep claim?
The published figures vary by source and date. Jeep’s November 2025 announcement described the Recon with a 100-kWh, 400-volt battery, 650 horsepower, 620 lb-ft (840 Nm) of torque, and estimated all-electric range of up to 250 miles (402 km), depending on trim. It gave 0–60 mph in as little as 3.6 seconds. The announcement does not identify that range estimate as EPA-certified.
On its U.S. model page accessed October 4, 2026, Jeep advertises up to 670 horsepower and a 0–60 mph time of 3.6 seconds. Because the current page’s headline figure is higher than the announcement’s, buyers should check the specification for the exact trim being offered rather than assume every Recon has the same output. Neither set of figures is an independent road test.

Jeep identifies Level 2 home charging as an option, describes a 48-amp residential charger option, and names Qmerit as an installation partner. What makes the Recon a Jeep-style off-roader?
Jeep describes the Recon as an all-electric 4×4 with front and rear electric drive modules, each rated at 250 kW in the November 2025 announcement. The Moab rear module was described with a 15:1 final drive ratio and an electronic locking differential; the front module has an 11:1 ratio, an open differential, and automatic disconnects at each wheel end. Jeep says the battery pack is protected by high-strength steel underbody shields.
The launch announcement listed Auto, Sport, Snow, and Sand drive modes; Moab adds Rock mode and low-speed Selec-Speed Control. Jeep also gave Moab-specific geometry and equipment figures: standard 33-inch tires, 9.4 inches of ground clearance, a 34-degree approach angle, a 34.5-degree departure angle, and a 23.5-degree breakover angle. These are Jeep’s published specifications, not results from an independent trail evaluation.

It also listed a standard dual-pane sunroof or an available Sky One-Touch power top. Buyers should confirm which roof and removable-panel equipment is included on the trim they are considering.

Jeep’s November 2025 description listed more than 26 inches of high-definition display space, including a 12.3-inch driver cluster and a 14.5-inch center screen, with Uconnect 5. The announcement also described Trails Offroad trail guidance with pitch-and-roll mapping, TomTom-powered dynamic range mapping, and more than 170 standard safety and security features. These are manufacturer descriptions; check the final equipment list for the specific vehicle.
