The SEC Exhibit 99.1 accompanying the announcement says Stellantis “expects to invest $130 million to prepare the Detroit Assembly Complex – Jefferson for production of the next-generation Dodge Durango, reaffirming its commitment from January.” That language confirms a production commitment and a plant-preparation program, not a completed vehicle launch schedule.

The $130 million figure is specifically associated with preparing the Detroit facility for the next Durango generation. It should not be read as the total development cost of the vehicle or as the entire amount being spent at the plant.

How this relates to the current Dodge Durango
The confirmation concerns a future generation, not a complete replacement specification for the vehicle currently on sale. Stellantis’ Dodge brand materials continue to list current Durango products, including a 2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak. That listing indicates the present model remains part of Dodge’s product lineup while Stellantis prepares the next generation.

Detroit Assembly Complex–Jefferson is the confirmed home for the next Durango generation, and the dedicated $130 million preparation allocation gives the plant a defined role in Stellantis’ broader U.S. manufacturing expansion. Those are company projections for the full investment plan, not a published Durango-specific production volume or job count.

- A separate vehicle reveal: Powertrains, trims, design, pricing and ordering normally require a later Dodge product announcement; none is included in the October 2025 commitment.
- Continued current-model availability: The existing Durango lineup remains listed by Dodge while the next generation is developed.
Until those later announcements arrive, the dependable takeaway is limited but significant: the next-generation Dodge Durango is planned for Detroit, backed by a stated $130 million facility-preparation investment within Stellantis’ $13 billion U.S. program.
