The E-T16 is an electric “Hyperhatch” that channels the 205 T16 rally car, while RCZ Vision revives the spirit of Peugeot’s former coupé as a technology and design manifesto. Peugeot also displayed the POLYGON Concept, so the two premieres were not the only concept cars on the stand.
What Peugeot unveiled in Paris
The public 2026 Paris Motor Show is scheduled for 12–18 October 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Peugeot’s announcement identifies E-T16 and RCZ Vision as its two world premieres. A Stellantis preview event called “The Night Before” took place at Hangar Y ahead of the public show; it previewed six of the nine concepts planned for the exhibition and should not be confused with the show’s visitor dates.

PEUGEOT E-T16 CONCEPT: an electric hyperhatch with rally DNA
E-T16 is Peugeot’s link between its electric future and one of its most famous competition cars: the 205 T16. The concept marks the 40th anniversary of the 205 T16’s double World Rally Championship victory in 1985 and 1986. Rather than reproducing the old rally car, Peugeot uses that history to frame a radically styled, low-slung electric hatchback.

Design and cabin direction
Peugeot describes the E-T16 as a “Hyperhatch,” with a futuristic stance intended to make a compact hatchback look exceptionally serious and fast. The company says the concept previews the next E-208’s light signature and points toward a future Digital i-Cockpit direction. Those references make the show car more than a nostalgia exercise: its lighting and interface ideas are intended as signals for future Peugeot design.
Claimed performance
Peugeot states that the E-T16 produces 816 hp and can accelerate from 0 to 300 km/h in 16 seconds. These are manufacturer-stated figures for a concept, not independently measured results and not confirmed specifications for a production E-208 or another road car. Peugeot’s broader promotional language about exceptional performance should therefore be read in that context.

RCZ Vision: the RCZ idea returns as a technology study
RCZ Vision looks back to the Peugeot RCZ coupé, which was produced from 2009 to 2015, while proposing a distinctly future-facing successor in spirit. Peugeot positions it as an expression of its “Feline Future” design language rather than an announced replacement model.
Distinctive exterior
The concept’s most recognizable feature is its bubble-topped cabin with double-bubble glazing. Wallpaper*’s design coverage also highlights the transparent information screen and the quartic Hypersquare steering control. Those details give RCZ Vision a more theatrical silhouette than a conventional coupé and explain why it drew attention as one of the show’s most striking designs. Describing it as the “coolest-looking” car remains an editorial judgment; the concrete visual case is the unusual roof treatment, transparent display concept and squared steering interface.

Claimed electric technology
Peugeot says RCZ Vision uses an STLA One platform and a solid-state battery developed in collaboration with Factorial Energy. The concept is described with a 1,000-volt electrical architecture, 500 hp, range of up to 600 km and energy consumption of 11.5 kWh/100 km.
Those numbers describe Peugeot’s concept proposal. They are not proof that a production battery pack, charging system or vehicle with those specifications has been approved, nor do they establish real-world range under a particular test cycle. The release also does not provide a production date, price or market allocation.

What the reveal means for Peugeot
The pair communicates two different ways Peugeot wants to make electric cars emotionally distinctive. E-T16 uses motorsport memory and extreme acceleration to recast the hatchback as a performance object. RCZ Vision uses coupé proportions, unusual glass and a new control interface to show how Peugeot imagines the driver’s environment changing.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThat split also explains why the cars should not be judged solely by their headline numbers. E-T16’s published figures are about a high-performance statement, while RCZ Vision’s range, efficiency and 1,000-volt claims support a broader technology narrative. Neither set of figures can be treated as a like-for-like independent comparison because both come from Peugeot’s concept announcement.

Will either concept go into production?
There is no confirmed answer yet. The official announcement establishes both vehicles as concepts and does not announce approval, timing, pricing or markets. Design elements such as the E-T16 lighting signature or RCZ Vision’s control and display ideas may influence future Peugeots, but that is different from confirming either complete car for sale.
For now, the clearest takeaway from Paris is Peugeot’s direction: a rally-inspired electric performance hatchback on one side and a technology-heavy electric coupé study on the other, with the POLYGON Concept adding a third concept presence nearby.
