Monterey Car Week 2026 ran August 7–16 across Monterey County, bringing together distinct events rather than one single show. Its highlights ranged from the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and historic racing at Laguna Seca to a curated gathering at The Quail, a road tour and manufacturer displays.

Pebble Beach: the Concours and its Best of Show
The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance held its 75th edition in 2026, with Ferrari as featured marque. The award winner was a separate story: the 1935 Duesenberg SSJ Special Speedster owned by Harry Yeaggy took Best of Show. A featured marque sets a focus for the event; it does not determine the top award. Rolex’s 2026 event report identifies the edition, marque and winner.
Laguna Seca: historic machinery in motion
The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion ran August 12–15, 2026, at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. More than 400 historic motorsport machines took part. Rather than a static concours, the Reunion centers on historic racing, and its 2026 program celebrated Japanese motorsport, with Honda/Acura, Mazda, Nissan and Toyota represented across single-seater, endurance and sports-car competition. The event report from Rolex provides the date, count and program theme.
The Quail: a gathering with its own character
The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, was distinct from both Pebble Beach’s judged concours and the Reunion’s track program. Its 2026 display marked the centenary of Route 66, alongside a dedicated Ferrari F40 collection and what Rolex described as the largest assembly of Lamborghini Diablos. The gathering’s Best of Show went to Bruce Meyer’s silver 1957 Ferrari 625/250 Testarossa. These displays and the award are reported by Rolex.

The Tour d’Elegance: a road-going preview
On Thursday, August 13, the Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance put a 200-strong lineup on public roads. Its figure-eight route passed through the Del Monte Forest and by Cypress Point and Spyglass Hill. The tour gives owners a chance to demonstrate that their cars can be driven, and offers a preview of the Concours. It is a different format from judging on the concours lawn. Rolex’s report describes the route and lineup.
Honda’s cross-event display: competition stories across eras
Honda’s published 2026 selection linked several events through vehicles with competition histories in different disciplines. The list ranged from open-wheel racing and endurance cars to motorcycles and rally machines:
- 1986 Williams Honda FW11: a Formula One-era machine.
- Alex Palou’s 2025 IndyCar: a recent single-seater entry.
- 1996 Team Kunimitsu NSX GT2: a sports-car racing example.
- 2023 Acura ARX-06 GTP: the Rolex 24-winning prototype.
- Nicky Hayden’s 2006 Honda RC211V and Mick Doohan’s 1997 Honda NSR500: Grand Prix motorcycles from different eras.
- Ricky Brabec’s 2020 Honda CRF450 Rally: a rally motorcycle.
Honda says historic vehicles appeared in static displays and demonstration laps at Motorlux, The Quail, Pebble Beach and the Reunion. That made the displays a useful way to see competition machinery beyond the cars on the main concours field. Honda’s event announcement lists the featured machines and appearances.

Monterey Car Week 2026 ran August 7–16 across Monterey County; Pebble Beach’s Concours was on August 16, while the Motorsports Reunion took place August 12–15. The calendar mixed free street and marque displays with ticketed races and gatherings, auctions, the Tour d’Elegance and Pebble Beach RetroAuto. Access depended on the individual event, so the week should not be treated as one venue with one admission arrangement. See Monterey’s event schedule and Car Week FAQ outline the range of events and access information.

The official sources cited do not establish an overall attendance figure, a complete cross-auction sales total or an independent ranking of the week’s best cars.
