In the United States, the Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan is listed for 2026, but Car and Driver reported on October 1, 2026, that it will be dropped from Mercedes-Benz’s 2027 U.S. lineup. That does not establish that production has ended worldwide: the available information confirms a reported U.S. lineup change, not a global factory shutdown. A 2026 model may still be available through dealers, depending on local inventory.
Is the Mercedes EQE Sedan discontinued?
The clearest answer is market- and model-year-specific. Mercedes-Benz USA lists 2026 EQE Sedan models, while Car and Driver reported on October 1, 2026, that the EQE Sedan and AMG EQE Sedan will not be part of the 2027 U.S. lineup. The report concerns the U.S. lineup; it is not confirmation that Mercedes-Benz has ended EQE Sedan production in every country.
These terms describe different things: a model disappearing from a future national lineup, the end of factory production, and the exhaustion of dealer stock. The sources establish the first for the reported 2027 U.S. range, but do not establish a worldwide production end date or how long unsold 2026 cars will remain available. Car and Driver’s 2027 lineup report and Mercedes-Benz USA’s current vehicle lineup are the relevant references.
Can you still buy a 2026 EQE Sedan?
Mercedes-Benz USA lists 2026 EQE Sedan variants, including the EQE 320+ and EQE 320 4MATIC. That confirms the model year is listed by the U.S. market site; it does not guarantee that a particular trim, color, or new vehicle is in stock near you. Check with local dealers for current availability and verify the vehicle’s model year and exact configuration before agreeing to a purchase.

For the 2026 EQE 320+ Sedan, Mercedes-Benz publishes a 96 kWh battery capacity, 308-mile electric range, 9.6 kW AC charging speed, 170 kW DC charging speed, 315 hp, and 416 lb-ft of torque. These are manufacturer specifications for that model, not independently measured real-world results or figures that necessarily apply to other trims, years, or markets. See the 2026 EQE 320+ Sedan specifications.
What does the 2026 model update mean for charging?
Mercedes-Benz’s North American 2026 model-line update says the NACS DC fast-charging adapter is standard. For the 2026 EQE 320+ Sedan, Mercedes-Benz lists J1772 for AC charging and CCS for DC charging. Because connector equipment can vary with model year, market, or vehicle configuration, confirm what is supplied with the specific car rather than assuming an accessory is included or needed.

If you are setting up home charging, a J1772 Level 2 charger is a relevant category to consider for a vehicle with the listed AC connector. Check compatibility, the vehicle’s included equipment, the electrical capacity and installation requirements of your home, and local electrical rules before buying or installing a charger. The 2026 update is described in Mercedes-Benz USA’s September 10, 2025 model-line announcement.
What should buyers check before choosing a remaining or used EQE?
Whether you are considering a new 2026 car or a used EQE, make the decision around the individual vehicle rather than the lineup headline. The available sources do not establish a used-market price comparison, local stock levels, or model-by-model warranty terms.

What does the lineup change mean for current EQE owners?
A reported removal from a future U.S. lineup does not, by itself, establish that an owner’s car has lost warranty coverage or that service has ended. It also does not guarantee future parts availability or settle long-term ownership costs. For operating instructions, maintenance information, and warranty documents, use Mercedes-Benz’s official service, warranty, and manuals resources and consult an authorized dealer about the specific vehicle.
