Stellantis has not announced that it will discontinue five brands. Its May 2026 FaSTLAne 2030 strategy assigns roles across its portfolio and directs most planned brand and product investment to a smaller group, but it does not name any marque for closure. The information available does not support a reliable ranking of five brands most likely to disappear.
What Stellantis has announced
FaSTLAne 2030, announced May 21, 2026, is a five-year strategic plan. Stellantis describes four brands as global priorities: Jeep, Ram, Peugeot, and FIAT. Along with the Pro One commercial vehicle unit, they are to receive 70% of planned brand and product investment. The company groups Chrysler, Dodge, Citroën, Opel, and Alfa Romeo as regional brands; says DS and Lancia will be developed as specialty brands; and describes Maserati as a luxury brand it plans to strengthen.

That is a statement about strategy and investment priorities, not a closure schedule. Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa said, “Every brand in Stellantis will play a clear role in delivering our FaSTLAne 2030 commitments.” The quote describes the company’s plan; it does not guarantee that every marque will remain indefinitely. Stellantis’s 2026 interim report repeats the portfolio roles, but likewise does not announce a brand discontinuation.
Which brands might readers suspect are at risk?
The five regional brands are natural subjects of questions about lower investment priority, but the strategy says they will focus on core markets, use shared global assets, and pursue stronger differentiation. It does not provide brand-by-brand sales, margins, product cadence, or investment figures with which to compare their prospects. Calling any of these five the brands Stellantis is “likely” to discontinue would therefore go beyond what the available evidence establishes.

| Brand | FaSTLAne 2030 role | What the announcement establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Chrysler | Regional brand | Core-market focus and access to shared assets; no closure announced. |
| Dodge | Regional brand | Core-market focus and access to shared assets; no closure announced. |
| Citroën | Regional brand | Core-market focus and access to shared assets; no closure announced. |
| Opel | Regional brand | Core-market focus and access to shared assets; no closure announced. |
| Alfa Romeo | Regional brand | Core-market focus and access to shared assets; no closure announced. |
This table reflects Stellantis’s stated categories, not a risk ranking. The plan does not publish comparable brand-level evidence that would justify ordering these marques by likelihood of discontinuation.
Does being managed under another brand mean DS or Lancia will end?
No closure follows from the organizational arrangement described. Stellantis says DS and Lancia are historic specialty brands to be managed within the Citroën and FIAT organizations, respectively. Being developed or managed under another organization is not the same as announcing that a marque will be discontinued.
What does the plan say about Maserati?
Stellantis says it intends to strengthen Maserati’s future as a luxury brand and plans two new E-segment vehicles. The company said a more detailed roadmap was expected by December 2026; that date is still in the future as of September 30, 2026, so the roadmap’s later details are not yet established here.

Not on their own. In February 2026, Stellantis said a business reset produced approximately €22.2 billion in charges in the second half of 2025 and included cancelling products that could not achieve profitable scale. The announcement concerned products, platforms, supply chain, and operations; it did not say that any brand would end. A cancelled vehicle program is not proof that its marque is being discontinued.
Rank #3
Stellantis’s FY2025 release also reports regional results, not a comparable financial picture for every brand. North America shipments improved while shipments in Enlarged Europe declined, but those regional aggregates cover multiple marques. They cannot establish the viability of a particular brand.

A defensible forecast would need comparable, brand-specific evidence—not just a company-wide investment split or regional results. Useful indicators would include recent sales and market-share trends, model coverage and confirmed product plans, announced investment and access to shared platforms, and any explicit consolidation, sale, or end-of-production announcement. The current strategy and cited results do not provide that complete comparison, so a five-name prediction would be speculation rather than a finding grounded in the announced plan.
