Dodge says Eco uses softer, earlier shifts and rear-biased torque delivery, while the disconnect can reduce driveline losses when conditions permit. You can still select Sport when you want sharper response; Dodge has not published a fuel-saving amount for either choice.
First, identify which SIXPACK Charger you have
SIXPACK refers to the gas-powered 3.0-liter twin-turbo Hurricane inline-six. The 2026 Charger R/T uses the Standard-Output (S.O.) version rated by Dodge at 420 hp and 468 lb-ft; the Scat Pack uses the High-Output (H.O.) version rated at 550 hp. The two trims have different engine calibrations, so an economy figure for one should not be applied to the other.
Dodge reports 23 mpg combined for the U.S.-market 2026 Charger R/T. That is a manufacturer-published combined figure, not a real-world guarantee, and it does not apply to the Scat Pack. No Scat Pack fuel-economy figure is established in the available Dodge material. Dodge’s 2026 Charger R/T announcement gives the R/T figure and output; the 2026 Charger Scat Pack announcement describes the Scat Pack and its drive modes.
Use Eco Mode for ordinary driving
Dodge identifies Eco as the efficiency-oriented setting. In its description, Eco biases torque delivery toward the rear wheels, engages AWD only when needed, and uses gentler, slower shifts with earlier upshifts to keep engine speed and torque down. That makes it the sensible starting choice for routine driving when the conditions do not call for a different mode.

Eco changes how the Charger responds; it does not remove the car’s performance modes. Switch to Sport when you want its more aggressive shift behavior and sharper response. Dodge has not quantified the fuel-economy difference between Eco and Sport, so treat this as a driving-mode choice rather than a guaranteed MPG improvement.
Let AWD manage the front-axle disconnect
Dodge describes the AWD system’s sensor-based Front-Axle Disconnect as able to disconnect the front axle when conditions allow, reducing parasitic driveline losses. Leave that automatic system to respond to its sensors rather than trying to force a manual rear-wheel-drive setting as an economy tactic; the cited Dodge material does not recommend manual RWD selection for saving fuel.

Choose the mode that fits the road

Dodge lists Eco, Sport, Wet/Snow and Auto for the R/T; the Scat Pack also lists Custom. The modes provide different responses, but the published descriptions do not attach a measured MPG change to each one. For exact mode availability and behavior on your specific car, consult its owner’s manual.
Keep replacement tires matched to the car
Dodge lists 20-by-10-inch wheels with 275/40ZR20 all-season Goodyear tires as standard Scat Pack equipment. When replacing tires, confirm the size and specifications on the driver-door placard and account for the car’s actual wheel package, load index and speed rating. The published information does not establish that switching to a particular tire model improves fuel economy, and it does not provide a tire-pressure value; use the vehicle placard and owner’s manual for the required specifications.

Measure your own results without treating them as a promise
Dodge’s published material describes vehicle features and provides the R/T’s combined figure; it does not report controlled before-and-after tests or owner fuel logs showing how much any recommended change saves. If you want to see how your own driving compares, record repeated fill-ups over similar routes and conditions, and treat the result as an observation about your car—not a guaranteed gain for every Charger SIXPACK.
