For most vehicle questions, service appointments and roadside problems, start in the Tesla app: it provides personalized support, lets you schedule service and review estimates, and offers an in-app route to request roadside assistance. Phone numbers, hours and coverage depend on your region and product, so use Tesla’s local contact and policy pages for details outside the United States.
Choose the right Tesla support route

How to schedule Tesla service
- Open the Tesla app and choose Service, then start a service request and describe the problem.
- Review the estimate and any follow-up questions in the app. Tesla may use remote diagnostics to assess the vehicle before the visit.
- Use the appointment to message the Service team if you need to add details or clarify what to bring.
- Monitor the app for updates. If inspection changes the estimate, review the revised costs before authorizing work to proceed.
Before a service visit, clear the trunk and storage areas. Bring keys or a charging cable only if Tesla tells you they are needed for that appointment. The exact process and available options may differ by location.
What an estimate and warranty decision mean
A service estimate is not necessarily the final price or a coverage decision. Tesla says costs may change after inspection, and some issues must be inspected before warranty coverage can be confirmed. Review any updated estimate before work proceeds.

Tesla’s current Vehicle Warranty page gives a general Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty term of 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. That is a general term, not a guarantee that a particular repair is covered: model, purchase date and applicable warranty terms matter. The warranty supplied with your vehicle is authoritative. How to request emergency roadside assistance
- Open the Tesla app and select Roadside.
- Choose the problem and provide the requested details so Tesla can understand the vehicle’s condition and locate it.
- Submit the request and follow the app’s instructions. If you are in an unsafe location, contact emergency services.
Tesla’s U.S. roadside policy gives examples of transportation limits: up to 50 miles for a flat tire when tire repair or replacement is completed through Tesla, and up to 500 miles for a warrantable breakdown. The policy also says assistance for an out-of-range event is not financially covered. These are U.S. policy terms, not universal limits; check the policy for your region and vehicle at Tesla Roadside Assistance.

What to do about a flat or leaking tire
Tesla advises drivers not to continue driving on a punctured tire. If the tire is flat or unsafe, request Roadside Assistance in the app rather than trying to drive to a repair shop. If you are checking pressure, use the value on the vehicle’s door-frame label; there is no single generic pressure that applies across Tesla models. See Tesla’s tire-care guidance.
When a temporary tire kit may help
Tesla documents an Air Compressor + Tire Repair Kit 3.0 for selected models. Its owner manual describes the tire inflation kit as a temporary repair and directs drivers with larger punctures, sidewall damage or serious tire damage to roadside assistance. A sealant-based kit is not a permanent repair or a substitute for replacing or professionally repairing the tire. Compatibility is model-specific; check the vehicle manual and product details. Tesla’s shop listing showed the kit out of stock and required a verified owner account when checked, so availability and eligibility may change.

Energy products use a different support route
Tesla Support and Tesla Assist also cover energy products, but their contact route is not necessarily the vehicle-support phone menu. Start from Tesla Support or the app and select the relevant product; for phone support, follow the energy-product options on Tesla’s contact page.
