Its common functions include collision alerts and braking assistance, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping support, road-departure assistance, and traffic-sign recognition. Honda’s current overview lists the model years below as standard on all trims, but equipment varies by vehicle, so check the exact model year and trim for any feature you want.
What does Honda Sensing do?
Honda describes Honda Sensing as an “exclusive intelligent suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies designed to alert you to things you might miss while driving.” When activated, systems use sensor inputs to provide alerts and, where applicable, steering or braking assistance. They support the driver; they do not take over the task of driving.
Collision warnings and braking assistance
The Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) with Forward Collision Warning can alert you when the system detects that a collision with a vehicle ahead may be possible. If Honda’s system determines a collision is unavoidable, CMBS can apply brake pressure.
Lane and road-departure assistance
Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) can adjust steering if the vehicle crosses detected lane markings without signaling. The Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) helps keep the vehicle centered in a detected lane. Traffic Jam Assist is available on select models.

Adaptive cruise control

Which Honda models have Honda Sensing?
Honda’s overview says Honda Sensing is standard on all Honda vehicles and lists the following model years as standard on all trims. This is a U.S. lineup snapshot from Honda’s overview; model years and availability can change.

Do all Honda Sensing vehicles have the same features?
No. Honda Sensing is the suite name, but the particular technologies included or available depend on the model and trim. Honda’s overview separately identifies features such as Blind Spot Information System, Cross Traffic Monitor, Auto High-Beam Headlights, Low-Speed Braking Control, parking sensors, and Driver Attention Monitor; some are marked as available only on select models. Honda’s 2026 Prologue page, for example, highlights Blind Zone Steering Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Braking. Do not assume those features are present across the lineup.

- Confirm the exact vehicle. Note the model year, model, and trim—not just the Honda Sensing name.
- Identify the feature you need. For example, check specifically for Traffic Jam Assist, blind-spot monitoring, or cross-traffic alerts.
- Verify it on Honda’s page for that vehicle. Compare the exact trim’s listed equipment, since the overview marks some technologies as select-model features. Honda’s vehicle safety page and the individual model page can help confirm details.
- Check the vehicle’s own equipment documentation. If you are considering a particular vehicle, verify the listed features for that year and trim rather than relying on a general description of the suite.
