Honda has not announced a facelift date for the third-generation Amaze. An estimate of around 2028 is only an editorial forecast, not a confirmed launch plan. If you need a car soon and like the ZX CVT after a test drive, there is no strong evidence-based reason to delay your purchase for an unannounced refresh. If you are in no hurry, you can wait for Honda to reveal whether it plans an update—but its timing and contents are unknown.
When could the Amaze facelift arrive?
The third-generation Amaze launched in India on December 4, 2024. Autocar India’s advice page, published October 1, 2026, estimates a facelift is more likely around 2028, based on a typical three-to-four-year product cycle. That is a forecast, not a date confirmed by Honda. Honda’s available announcements do not specify when a facelift will launch.
Honda’s September 16, 2025 update added Crystal Black Pearl to the colour range and restated the V, VX and ZX lineup. It described a colour addition, not a facelift.
Should you buy the ZX CVT now or wait?
Buy now if you need a car soon
If the current ZX CVT suits you after a test drive and a current local quote fits your budget, buying now is reasonable. The available advice sees no strong reason to put off a needed purchase for an unconfirmed facelift. Check delivery timing, offers and on-road charges with dealers; the published price figure below is from 2025, not a verified current quote.

Wait if you have no urgency
Waiting makes sense if you would rather see whether Honda announces a refresh than buy the current version now. But there is no confirmed timing, future equipment list, styling description or future price to weigh against today’s car. Do not assume a facelift will arrive in 2028 or include any particular feature.
What you can verify about the current Amaze
Honda’s December 2024 launch announcement lists V, VX and ZX grades, with a 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine paired with either a CVT or a five-speed manual. The launch release gives the CVT output as 66 kW (90 PS) at 6,000 rpm and 110 Nm at 4,800 rpm.
