Undisguised bikes in India
BikeWale reported on September 30, 2026, that the Himalayan 750 was testing in India without camouflage. Images attributed to an Instagram source appear to show four paint treatments and both alloy and cross-spoke wheel configurations. The colours and configurations are visual interpretations, not a confirmed list of retail variants. BikeWale’s report also describes Motoverse 2026 as a likely launch venue; that timing is not an official confirmation.
Motorcycles seen during a TVC shoot
A separate report published October 1 describes several Himalayan 750s at a television commercial shoot in Niti Valley, Uttarakhand. The images reportedly show apparent colour differences, alloy and cross-spoke wheels, soft luggage, a tall windscreen, mirrors, a stepped seat and a rear rack. The outlet notes that image quality makes precise colour identification difficult. Earlier UK test bike
In August, BikeWale reported a more road-oriented-looking test bike near Royal Enfield’s UK Technology Centre in Leicestershire. It appeared to have a fairing, a larger windscreen, a 19-inch cast-alloy front wheel and road-oriented tyres. Has Royal Enfield confirmed a launch date?
Royal Enfield has showcased the Himalayan 750 in India at Himalayan Base Camp in Leh, according to BikeWale’s September 7 report. Autocar India reported that the company had confirmed a production-version showcase at EICMA 2026, with a launch expected afterward. What is known—and not known—about the specifications?
Media reports describe a new approximately 750cc parallel-twin engine, but the cited coverage does not provide a manufacturer-published final specification sheet. Power, torque, weight, price and final equipment remain unconfirmed. BikeWale estimated about 55 bhp and 60 Nm in its September coverage; Autocar India earlier reported an expected 55–60 hp. Reports and photographs describe or appear to show a range of other hardware. Treat these as reported observations rather than guaranteed standard equipment:
- Both alloy and cross-spoke wheel configurations; BikeWale reports 19-inch front and 17-inch rear sizes.
- Dual front discs and a single rear disc.
- Adjustable suspension, a TFT display and ride-by-wire in some reports.

Alloy or cross-spoke wheels: what can buyers conclude?
The sightings indicate that Royal Enfield is testing both wheel constructions, but they do not establish the production variants or which markets will receive them. Nor do they confirm tubeless capability, tyre choice, repairability or whether one configuration is intended for a particular trim. A cross-spoke appearance alone is not proof that a wheel requires an inner tube—or that it is tubeless. Those details need to come from official specifications.

The Niti Valley images show soft luggage and touring-oriented fittings, while earlier reporting described a test bike with touring accessories. Their presence on prototypes or shoot bikes does not establish that they will be standard, offered as official accessories, or compatible with the final retail model. Royal Enfield’s 2021 release for an earlier Himalayan listed aluminium panniers and mounting kits, but that history does not establish Himalayan 750 fitment. For now, treat prototype luggage as evidence of touring-focused testing, not a promise of retail fitment. Once the model is announced for sale, check the official accessory listing and model-year compatibility before buying panniers or mounting hardware.
