The deal adds two sales locations in West London, Honda Cars and Motorcycles franchises, and GMG’s first motorcycle franchise, according to the group’s acquisition announcement.
What the acquisition adds
GMG says Chiswick Honda takes its network to 23 sales outlets and 640 people. The acquired business brings both Honda Cars and Honda Motorcycles to the group; the motorcycle franchise is a first for GMG. The company describes the deal as its entry into West London and says it adds two sales locations.
The seller is identified in GMG’s announcement as Norton Way Motors Ltd, part of RRG Group / Marubeni Auto Investment. The announcement does not state the purchase price, transaction structure, conditions or integration timetable.
Why the Chiswick site is significant
GMG describes the dealership as occupying a three-acre site that was formerly Honda UK’s head office. The group says the Grainger family opened it in 2001 as Honda’s first European brand centre, bringing Honda Cars, Motorcycles, Power Equipment, Marine, and Lawn & Garden together at one location. The company presents the acquisition as a return to a site with personal significance to its managing directors.

How the deal fits GMG’s expansion
GMG’s company history places the acquisition in a sequence of growth: it says it acquired Mantles Group in January 2023, EMG Anglia in January 2024, and three Norton Way dealerships in Letchworth in January 2026. Chiswick extends that expansion into West London and broadens the group’s franchise mix with motorcycles.
