What can—and cannot—be called a common problem

If there is no movement, first establish whether the switch, fuse, relay, battery, and ground connections are supplying power. A weak battery or corroded connector can imitate a failed motor. Do not bridge terminals or substitute a fuse with a higher rating; obtain the wiring diagram for the exact Falcon.

- Park on level ground, set the parking brake, and keep people clear of the linkage.
