The CT5 nameplate is set to continue with a next-generation internal-combustion model, but Cadillac has not announced its launch year or specifications.
When will Cadillac stop making the CT4 and CT5?
An October 14, 2025 statement attributed to John Roth, Cadillac’s vice president of global Cadillac, says the current generations will retire after model year 2026. It gives different production end points for the two sedans:
| Model | Current-generation production timing |
|---|---|
| CT4 | Through June 2026 |
| CT5 | Through the end of 2026 |
The timetable appears in a statement reproduced by Cadillac V-Series Club; it is not a link to Cadillac’s own newsroom. The statement describes production timing, not a final order date or the date when remaining dealer inventory will be gone. Those details are not specified. Read the reproduced October 14, 2025 announcement.
Will Cadillac make another gas-powered CT5?
Yes. The reproduced statement says the CT5 will continue as a next-generation internal-combustion-engine (ICE) vehicle in a future model year. It also names GM’s Lansing Grand River Assembly plant as the planned production site and says the new CT5 is planned for sale in the United States and Canada.
#1 Best Overall
- 【Cadillac 1:24 Diecast Model】 This 1/24 scale diecast model is crafted from premium alloy with a sleek glossy finish that resists scratches, fading, and rust. Every exterior detail is faithfully reproduced: the signature grille, the iconic hood ornament, and the sharp body lines that define the real SUV. The high-quality paintwork captures the vehicle's sophisticated styling while maintaining its luster over time. Whether displayed on a shelf, desk, or in a glass cabinet, this model commands attention from discerning collectors who demand precision and authenticity
- 【Alloy SUV model with light and sound】 More than just a static model – press the steering wheel to activate working LED headlights and realistic sound effects, with three light modes to choose from: off, steady on, or trigger-activated. Then open it up. All four doors swing open with smooth resistance. The hood lifts to reveal a detailed engine bay, and the trunk opens to showcase the cargo area. Inside, the front seats slide and recline – a level of detail rarely seen at this scale. With seven opening components, this SUV invites you to explore every inch of its design inside and out
- 【A little car hides big fun】 Pull it back, release, and watch it race forward – the pull-back motor delivers instant driving fun. Meanwhile, the four-wheel independent suspension system mimics real SUV handling, absorbing bumps as it rolls across desks or tabletops. The steering wheel is mechanically linked to the front wheels, allowing you to actually steer and turn just like the real vehicle. Combined with opening doors, hood, and trunk, this model offers hands-on enjoyment that static displays simply cannot match
- 【The perfect gift】 Measuring just 9.8 x 4.9 x 4.7 inches and weighing 1.32 lbs, this compact model fits perfectly anywhere – on a desk for a quick escape, on a shelf as curated decor, in a display case alongside your collection, or as a centerpiece in an office. The included display stand adds a polished, museum-quality touch for showcasing. Housed in an exquisite gift-ready box, it arrives ready for presentation – no extra wrapping needed. Perfect as a birthday gift, scale model collectors, or as a memorable present for any car lover
- 【Durable + After-Sales Support】 Constructed from premium-grade diecast metal with reinforced metal hinges on all opening parts – four doors, hood, and trunk – this SUV is engineered for longevity. The alloy body resists scratches and dents from regular handling, while the moving parts are designed for repeated operation without loosening over time. It's a rare model that balances collectible-grade precision with daily-handling durability. Backed by responsive customer support, your satisfaction is guaranteed. That confirms a combustion-powered successor, not its precise engine or whether it will use gasoline, a particular hybrid setup, or any other specific configuration. The statement does not provide its launch year, price, dimensions, trims, performance versions, or features. It says additional details will come as plans are finalized; no specific timing for those details is given.
Is the CT4 getting a successor?
The statement confirms a future generation for the CT5 only. It does not announce a CT4 successor, so the CT4’s June 2026 production end should not be read as confirmation that another CT4 is coming—or as proof that Cadillac will never revive the name.
