What is the Cadillac Elevated Velocity?
Cadillac describes Elevated Velocity as an all-electric, high-performance 2+2 crossover concept. Although it is often called an SUV, “crossover” is the company’s own category wording. Cadillac introduced it on August 14, 2025, to explore how V-Series performance, luxury, and off-road capability might inform future design. The company says the concept may foreshadow future Cadillac design cues; it has not confirmed a production model or promised that these specific features will reach one. Cadillac’s announcement marks the vehicle as not available for sale.
Is the Elevated Velocity for sale?
No. Cadillac identifies Elevated Velocity as a concept and says it is not available for sale. The company has not announced a production date or retail price. Its driving modes, cabin functions, and performance descriptions should therefore be read as concept features, not as specifications for a retail vehicle.
What driving and off-road features does Cadillac describe?
Two modes for different settings
Cadillac describes e-Velocity as the mode for intense on-road driving. Terra is the off-road mode and activates the air suspension. The concept’s lifted stance and 24-inch wheels reinforce its desert-oriented design, but Cadillac has not published validated performance figures for it.

Sand-focused visibility and exterior ideas
Sand Vision is described as a feature similar to Cadillac Night Vision, intended to improve visibility in a sandstorm. Cadillac also says “Elements Defy” uses dust-phobic vibration to help keep dust, sand, and dirt off the exterior. These are descriptions of proposed concept functions; Cadillac’s announcement does not provide independent test results.
How does the concept’s cabin work?
Welcome Mode
Welcome Mode illuminates cabin elements and opens the gull-wing doors. The doors are a dramatic design feature rather than a confirmed production item.

Elevate Mode
Cadillac presents Elevate Mode as an autonomous recovery environment. In this mode, the pedals and steering wheel retract, cabin conditions are displayed, and lighting and breathing cues are used. Cadillac also lists cabin dust filtration, “extreme climatization,” air purification and fragrance, and integrated red light therapy as concept features. The announcement does not provide clinical evidence for the therapy or implementation details for a production vehicle.
Velocity Mode
Velocity Mode returns attention to the driving cockpit. Cadillac describes a deployable steering wheel and an augmented-reality head-up navigation display.

What does the Elevated Velocity look like?
The concept pairs a Vapor Blue exterior with a deep red interior and gull-wing doors. Cadillac lists flax fiber and black crystal-tint acrylic among the wheel elements, and a 3D-printed black-crystal pattern on the doors. Named cabin materials include Morello Red Fine Nappa leather, Cerise fabric, and Garnet bouclé.
Cadillac designers linked the form to both presence and reduced weight. Tom Grech, exterior designer at Cadillac Advanced Design, said the concept began with the dramatic proportions of Opulent Velocity. Ding Zeng, senior creative interior designer at Cadillac Advanced Design, described an interior goal of reducing physical weight through slender forms while preserving comfort, support, and visual richness. Alexandra Dymowska, Cadillac senior brand designer, said “elevate” refers both to the lifted chassis and to a heightened luxury experience.

What specifications has Cadillac published?
Cadillac’s official announcements do not provide a retail price, production date, driving range, battery capacity, motor output, charging specification, or validated acceleration or other performance time for Elevated Velocity. The 24-inch wheel size is a disclosed design detail, not a performance measurement. Figures published for another Cadillac electric vehicle should not be treated as specifications for this concept.
How does it relate to Cadillac’s production V-Series EVs?
Cadillac’s 2026 award announcement names the OPTIQ-V and LYRIQ-V as existing production electric performance crossovers, while describing Elevated Velocity as a look toward possible future V-Series direction. The useful distinction is status: OPTIQ-V and LYRIQ-V are production models; Elevated Velocity remains a concept. Cadillac’s announcement does not supply a complete like-for-like specification comparison between them.

What happened to the concept after its unveiling?
Cadillac said Elevated Velocity would be displayed at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, in Carmel, California, on August 15, 2025. On January 21, 2026, Cadillac reported that EyesOn Design named it Best Concept Vehicle for 2026. The award recognizes the concept; it is not evidence of production approval. Cadillac’s award announcement also frames the vehicle as an exploration of future design direction.
