A dealer-offered 2027 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X sold for $402,000 on Bring a Trailer on September 11, 2026. Its window sticker listed a total vehicle price of $290,289, so the winning bid was $111,711—or about 38.5%—over sticker, before buyer fees, taxes, or registration. That is a snapshot of what one buyer paid for an early, heavily optioned car, not proof that every ZR1X will command the same premium.
What sold, and for how much?
The auction car was a Sebring Orange 2027 Corvette ZR1X 3LZ ZTK coupe with eight miles. Bring a Trailer recorded 21 bids before it sold for $402,000 on September 11, 2026. The ZR1X pairs a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter LT7 V8 driving the rear wheels with a front electric motor and a 1.9-kWh liquid-cooled battery driving the front wheels. Chevrolet and the listing give combined factory output as 1,250 horsepower and 973 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed dual-clutch transaxle and electric all-wheel-drive system put that power to the road. Chevrolet’s Corvette information describes the ZR1X as a gas-electric hybrid with all-wheel-drive capability.

Chevrolet lists a starting price of $227,500 for the 2027 ZR1X. That is a model starting price, not the sticker price of this 3LZ ZTK example: its window sticker total was $290,289 after configuration and equipment. Chevrolet also says the available carbon-fiber aero hardware produces over 1,200 pounds of downforce, its highest figure for a production Corvette. Chevrolet’s ZR1X page provides its current model description and starting-price context.
Why did it sell so far above sticker?
The result is consistent with buyers paying for a scarce early opportunity to acquire a highly specified ZR1X, rather than establishing a guaranteed resale value for the model. A September 30, 2026 market analysis of earlier Bring a Trailer ZR1X sales found listed premiums of roughly 38% to 56%, while noting that the percentage premium had eased as sticker prices rose. Those are observed auction results, not a forecast. The analysis also found the observed premium for the less expensive ZR1 narrowing as availability improved, a reminder that delivery timing and allocation scarcity can matter as much as a model’s performance credentials. The market analysis compares those auction observations.

Why the $2.6 million ZR1X sale is not a normal-market comparison
General Motors reported that a bespoke 1-of-1 2026 Corvette ZR1X sold for a $2.6 million hammer price at the 2026 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction, with all of the hammer price benefiting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. That charity one-off is a distinct transaction, not a useful benchmark for an ordinary dealer-offered ZR1X. General Motors’ announcement identifies the charitable purpose and the bespoke car.

What the auction does—and does not—say about value
This sale shows what one buyer bid for one early, low-mileage, option-heavy car in September 2026. It does not establish how long the buyer will keep it, what this VIN will be worth later, or what future ZR1X buyers will pay as allocations and production availability change. No authoritative long-term resale forecast for this VIN is established by the sale.
The listing also described restrictions that GM required for this transaction: U.S. sale and registration, no resale to brokers or certain dealers, and a requirement that the buyer retain the car for at least 12 months or the warranty would be void for subsequent owners. Those terms were specific to the listing; anyone evaluating a purchase should confirm the applicable terms in the actual purchase documents.
