The 2025 Kia EV6 GT has the ingredients for a serious performance car: 641 horsepower, all-wheel drive and a Kia-estimated 231 miles of range in the US. But the available evidence does not establish that it is more fun than the Stinger GT—or provide a firsthand test drive to support that verdict. What it does show is a fast electric crossover with a distinct performance feature set and important market-specific range and charging differences.
What is the 2025 Kia EV6 GT?
The EV6 GT is the all-wheel-drive performance trim in Kia’s 2025 US EV6 lineup. It sits apart from the more efficiency-oriented versions by prioritizing power and performance equipment. Kia’s US specifications identify the GT as part of the 2025 range, while Kia’s launch information says the charge-port relocation and NACS compatibility announced for other 2025 EV6 trims do not apply to the GT. Buyers should not assume the GT received that port update.
How fast is the 2025 Kia EV6 GT?
Kia’s US launch material and AP/Edmunds reporting put maximum output at 641 horsepower. AP/Edmunds report a 0–60 mph time of 3.3 seconds as an estimate, not as a result from a documented test drive here. The number indicates very rapid acceleration on paper, but it should not be mistaken for an independently measured result.
What is the range of the 2025 Kia EV6 GT?
For the US-market GT, AP/Edmunds report a Kia-estimated range of 231 miles. That figure is the relevant reference for US shoppers; it is not interchangeable with the UK specification’s WLTP rating.

Kia UK lists a different-market GT specification with 279 miles of combined WLTP range, an 84.0 kWh battery, 641 bhp and a 0–62 mph time of 3.5 seconds. Those are UK-market figures under the WLTP test cycle, not US EPA ratings. The difference in stated range reflects distinct market specifications and measurement standards, so the figures should not be compared as if they were measured on the same basis.
How long does it take to charge?
Kia UK lists 18 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% using a 350 kW DC charger. Kia says maximum charging speed requires an 800-volt charger capable of delivering at least 260 kW; battery temperature and weather can change the actual time. This is a UK-market claim and a stated charging condition, not a guarantee for every charger or a US-market charging result.

The 2025 US GT also differs from the other EV6 trims in charging-port compatibility: Kia says the NACS-related port update announced for those trims excludes the GT. Check the specific vehicle and market before choosing public charging equipment or assuming access through a particular connector.
Is the EV6 GT fun to drive?
The available specifications do not measure fun, and there is no documented drive account here to support a firsthand verdict. AP/Edmunds identify features that shape the GT’s performance character: simulated engine sound and gear shifts, adaptive suspension and larger brakes. Those details make the EV6 GT more than a power figure, but they do not establish how its steering, ride, brake feel or simulated effects come together on the road.

The Stinger GT comparison therefore remains a question rather than a proven ranking. A fair judgment would require driving both cars under comparable conditions and assessing their acceleration, ride and body control, steering and braking, sound, and everyday usability. Without that matched comparison, calling the EV6 GT Kia’s most fun car since the Stinger GT would go beyond what the evidence supports.
How much does the 2025 Kia EV6 GT cost?
AP/Edmunds list a US starting price of $65,295 for the 2025 GT. Treat that as a published reference rather than a current dealer quote: local pricing, inventory and incentives can change the amount a buyer actually pays.
