Saleen is accepting reservations for its S1 Street sports car, listed from $160,000 with a $1,000 reservation. The company also lists the track-only S1 Race from $250,000 with a $2,000 reservation. Saleen offers dealer and VIP ordering routes, but its current pages do not state when customer cars will be delivered.
What reserving a Saleen S1 involves
Saleen’s order page describes two ways to proceed: work with an exclusive Saleen dealer or order through a VIP experience at Saleen headquarters. These are the company’s descriptions of its ordering process.
Order through a Saleen dealer
The dealer route provides local purchase support. Saleen says the dealership handles financing and paperwork.
Order through Saleen headquarters
The VIP route includes a headquarters visit, facility tour and vehicle-design consultation. Saleen says paperwork and the Ford factory warranty are handled through the buyer’s preferred Ford dealership. The company says every vehicle has Ford factory warranty coverage as well as coverage for Saleen components. See Saleen’s current ordering information.

These are Saleen’s listed starting prices, not out-the-door totals. The S1 Race page says its MSRP excludes options, taxes, title, registration, delivery, processing and handling fees, dealer charges, and applicable tariffs; it also says dealers set actual selling prices. Confirm the current Street price and all charges with Saleen or the selling dealer before committing. Saleen order page.
The S1 Race reservation page calls its reservation fully refundable, and Car and Driver reports that both amounts are refundable. How the Street and Race versions compare
Saleen’s homepage distinguishes the Street as road-legal and the Race as track-only. The figures below are manufacturer claims, not results from independent instrumented testing in the sources cited here.

Saleen publishes the Race figures on its product page. Car and Driver attributes the Street figures to Saleen and reports the same Race figures. No independent test result is established by those sources. Saleen says Race specifications and prices may change, so verify the final configuration directly. What is not established about timing and production
Car and Driver reports that the S1 was first shown at the 2018 Los Angeles auto show and that reservations opened roughly eight years later, in 2026. Saleen’s current pages confirm that reservations are available, but do not state a customer delivery timetable or production quantity. A reservation alone therefore does not establish a specific build slot or delivery date; look to the individual order terms for what Saleen is actually committing to provide.
