A LinkedIn post by Snabbit senior director Sai Kiran Singanamala described a household in which a woman working through the platform and her husband, an auto driver, together earn around ₹80,000 to ₹1 lakh a month and pay ₹1.5 lakh a year in school fees for their child. Those figures are claims in the executive’s anecdote, not independently verified household or school records.
What the LinkedIn post says
In a post reported on October 6, 2026, Singanamala said the woman had worked with Snabbit for four months. Her husband works as an auto driver, and the couple’s reported combined monthly income was around ₹80,000 to ₹1 lakh. The post also described their child’s school fees as ₹1.5 lakh annually. Hindustan Times and Moneycontrol attributed these details to Singanamala’s account.
Reflecting on the story, Singanamala said that a woman earning ₹30,000–₹40,000 can change a family’s life through better education, greater financial security and more confidence. That earnings range is also part of his anecdote; the reports do not provide pay records establishing the woman’s individual income.
Can the reported income cover the school fees?
On the figures as stated, ₹1.5 lakh in annual fees averages ₹12,500 a month across a full year. That is a simple division of the claimed annual fee, not a reported monthly payment schedule. Compared with the claimed household income of ₹80,000 to ₹1 lakh a month, the fee would equal roughly 12.5% to 15.6% of one month’s combined income multiplied across the year. This arithmetic does not establish how the family actually pays: the reports provide no household budget, payment dates, savings details or other school-related costs.

What is verified—and what is not
Hindustan Times states that the claims came from user-generated social-media content and were not independently verified, and that the outlet does not endorse them. Moneycontrol reports the same LinkedIn anecdote, so its coverage is not separate confirmation of the family’s income or fees. The available reports do not establish the family’s identity, income documentation, the school’s charges or the household’s finances.
The post offers one executive’s reflection on one reported family. It does not establish that gig work generally produces a particular income, that a woman’s earnings caused a specific change in this household, or that the account represents gig workers or working women more broadly.
