U.S. Apple TV subscribers can now activate F1 TV Premium without paying for a separate F1 TV Premium plan. The setup links the Apple Account that holds the active Apple TV subscription to an F1 account. Once that connection is complete, you can keep using the F1 TV app for onboard cameras, team radio, live timing, replays, archives, and other F1-specific features.
This offer is for an Apple TV subscription, not ownership of an Apple TV streaming box. It is currently a U.S.-only arrangement.

What you need before starting
- An active Apple TV subscription billed in the United States
- The Apple Account used to pay for that subscription
- An existing F1 account, or an email address you can use to create one
- A phone or computer with a web browser, or the F1 TV app on iPhone or Android
Do not confuse the two accounts. Apple verifies your subscription through your Apple Account, but F1 TV normally remains signed in with your F1 account after activation.

How to activate F1 TV through Apple TV
- Confirm that your Apple TV subscription is active. Use the Apple Account that actually owns the subscription. If your family has several Apple Accounts, using the wrong one is a common reason the offer fails.
- Open f1.com/apple in a web browser. This is generally easier than trying to enter account details using a television remote.
- Sign in to F1. Use your existing F1 account, or create one if you have never used F1 TV.
- Select “ACTIVATE.” The F1 subscription page displays the Apple TV partner offer and an activation button.
- Follow the Apple sign-in prompt. Sign in with the Apple Account associated with your active Apple TV subscription. This step validates your eligibility.
- Open F1 TV and sign in again if necessary. Use your F1 account credentials in the F1 TV app or at the F1 TV website. You do not normally replace your F1 login with your Apple Account login.
You can also begin the process from the F1 TV mobile app on iPhone or Android. The web route is usually the clearest option if you are setting up the service for the first time.

What F1 TV Premium adds
Apple TV carries the U.S. F1 broadcast itself, including every 2026 practice session, qualifying session, Sprint, and Grand Prix live and on demand for Apple TV subscribers. The linked F1 TV app is still valuable because it provides the broader F1-specific viewing experience.

You do not need an Apple TV box
The phrase “Apple TV account” causes unnecessary confusion. This offer does not require an Apple TV 4K or any other Apple streaming box. Apple TV is a subscription service available through the Apple TV app.

Depending on the device and software version, you can watch through Apple devices, supported smart TVs, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast with Google TV, game consoles, eligible Android devices, and the web. Apple lists support for the Apple TV app on iOS 26.2 or later, tvOS 26.2 or later, macOS Tahoe 26.2 or later, plus supported third-party devices.
After linking the accounts, install or update F1 TV on the device where you want the extra F1 features. Sign in with the F1 account used during activation.
Fixes for common setup problems
The activation prompt is missing
If you previously selected “Not Now” on an account-connection prompt, sign out of the F1 TV app or supported third-party app, then sign back in. Apple’s connected-account guidance identifies signing out and back in as the way to bring the connection prompt back.

The offer says I am not eligible
Check the Apple Account currently being used in the sign-in window. It must be the account with the active U.S. Apple TV subscription. Being signed in to Apple services on your phone does not guarantee that the browser will use the same account.

First, close and reopen the F1 TV app. If the entitlement still has not appeared, sign out of F1 TV and sign back in with the F1 account used during activation. Users have reported that the app can briefly retain old subscription information, although this is a practical workaround rather than a formal F1 troubleshooting guarantee.
I tried to set it up on my television
You can watch on a television, but entering account information there is often awkward. Complete the link at f1.com/apple on a phone or computer, then return to the F1 TV app on your TV or streaming device.

I linked the wrong Apple Account
Apple’s connected-account controls are available on an iPhone or iPad at Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → View Account → Connected Accounts. Tap the connected service to inspect it or choose Disconnect.
On the web, sign in at tv.apple.com, open your profile or Apple Account menu, then go to Settings → Account Access → Manage Connected Accounts. Choose Disconnect, then confirm. Disconnecting does not automatically sign you out of the third-party app on every other device, so sign out of F1 TV separately if needed.

If you previously paid F1 directly, check the billing section of your F1 account before canceling anything. F1 and Apple now describe U.S. F1 TV Premium as included with an Apple TV subscription, but an older direct subscription could still be running on a separate billing cycle. Confirm that you are not paying for overlapping access.

The current U.S. arrangement should not be described as a $129 standalone F1 TV Premium plan. That referred to the previous pricing model; the current U.S. offer is tied to Apple TV.
