What “buying a Ford on Amazon” means
Amazon Autos provides an online storefront connecting shoppers with participating Ford dealers; Amazon is not the vehicle’s seller. Dealers set prices and retain responsibility for the transaction, pickup, service, and their customer relationship. The program announcement concerns Ford Blue Advantage certified pre-owned (CPO) inventory, not every used Ford or every Ford dealership.
Amazon first announced Ford CPO availability in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas. Its later buying guide describes Amazon Autos as operating in more than 130 U.S. cities with over 1,000 participating dealers, but those broad service figures do not guarantee Ford inventory in any particular area. What the Ford Blue Advantage tiers include
Amazon’s November 17, 2025 announcement lists three Ford Blue Advantage certification tiers. Inspection and warranty terms vary, so check the car’s listing and written purchase documents for its exact tier and coverage.

Amazon’s announcement also says Ford Blue Advantage CPO vehicles carry a 14-day/1,000-mile money-back guarantee. These are program terms published by Amazon in 2025, not a substitute for checking the specific vehicle’s contract. Amazon’s current general guide separately describes a minimum 3-day/300-mile return policy for used and CPO purchases, subject to variation in certain states, and a minimum 30-day/1,000-mile limited warranty. Read the listing and written documents to determine which protections apply to a particular car and how they interact. Amazon’s used-vehicle announcement also described minimum protections for its used/CPO expansion.
How to shop and complete the purchase
Amazon’s guide describes an online process with a dealer handoff. Listings are shown from dealers within 75 miles of the shopper’s ZIP code, but actual inventory and available options depend on the car and dealer.

- Review the vehicle: Check the listing’s price, model year, mileage, condition, certification tier, vehicle-history information, specifications, service history, and condition report where available.
- Choose how to pay: The guide describes financing, leasing, or paying in full. If financing, compare personalized offers by APR, term, monthly payment, and total interest. Consider the full cost, not only the monthly payment, and confirm taxes, fees, lender terms, and optional products for the transaction.
- Add a trade-in if you want: Enter vehicle details to receive an estimated trade-in value; confirm the final value and terms with the dealer.
- Place a deposit and complete online paperwork: Much of the purchase process can be completed online. The guide says customers typically pick up within three days of ordering, but timing varies.
- Visit the dealership: Pick up the car, take a test drive, and sign any remaining physical paperwork. The dealer handles the in-person handoff.

What to verify before placing a deposit
Amazon describes listings as including itemized pricing, full specifications, vehicle history, service history, and condition reports. Its buying guide says used and CPO listings have vehicle-history reports available. Documentation can vary by car, so confirm what is actually posted on the listing and ask the dealer about anything missing.
