The core cast of Rust Valley Restorers is still Mike Hall, Avery Shoaf, and Connor Hall, according to official series descriptions. Recent secondary reporting says the show returned for a sixth season in late 2024, and Avery Shoaf has continued his own restoration work separately from Mike’s operation. A seventh season has not been confirmed in the sources reviewed. Mike’s collection size has changed more than once, and the figures for it need their dates attached.
What the show is and where it is produced
Corus Studios describes the series as following a restoration shop in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, with Mike Hall at its center and his friend Avery Shoaf and son Connor working alongside him. A Corus press release dated October 28, 2019 places the shop in Tappen, British Columbia, and says the team restores, trades, and sells classic cars. The show is a Canadian production by Mayhem Entertainment in association with Corus Studios, made for HISTORY.
Season counts differ by platform. The Corus page names five seasons, while Netflix’s listing currently shows three. Do not treat either listing as a complete count across all platforms or territories.

Mike Hall and the collection
Mike is the figure most often asked about, and his collection is the least stable part of the story. A local iNFOnews report by Carli Berry, dated October 7, 2022, said he had reduced a collection of roughly 600 cars to about 40 through auctions. The same figures attach to different points in time, so keep each one with its source and date:

- Roughly 600 cars: the collection at its earlier scale, as described by iNFOnews in 2022.
- About 40 cars: the collection after the auctions, as reported by iNFOnews in 2022.
- More than 100 cars: the collection in 2024, as reported retrospectively by TheBiography.org in a 2026 article. This is secondary reporting, and it does not establish the collection’s size today.
In the 2022 report, Hall described the sales as a mixed result: some cars went for less than he expected, others for more, and the total was good. He also said that for the first time in his life, everything fits in one yard. Both remarks are attributed to him in the iNFOnews piece.
Avery Shoaf
Avery’s official website identifies him as a Canadian television personality known for Rust Valley Restorers, and says he previously ran a company rebuilding heavy equipment. The site currently features his podcast and a merchandise section. Those are first-party facts about his public presence as of this writing.
Rank #2
The state of his workshop comes from a different source. A 2026 secondary article says his Wildman Restorations business remained active and separate from Mike Hall’s Rust Bros operation, and that Avery had resumed posting work and life updates online. The official site does not independently confirm the current scope of that business, so treat the workshop details as reported rather than verified.
Connor Hall
Official series descriptions identify Connor as Mike Hall’s son and a central cast member. Nothing in the sources reviewed confirms his present job or any business role, so any statement about what he does now would go beyond the evidence.

Cassidy Mceown and the rest of the crew
A 2026 secondary article reports that Cassidy Mceown continued working with Mike Hall’s restoration crew and describes his mechanical, painting, and social-media activity. This is the only current source for his role, and it is not a first-party statement. The reporting did not establish a reliable current status for the rest of the supporting crew.
Season status
The most recent season information in the sources reviewed is a secondary report that season six premiered in late 2024 after a hiatus. No reliable source reviewed confirmed a season seven, either as a renewal or a cancellation. Until a network or the producers confirm a decision, the honest position is that a further season has not been verified.

- Official listings (Corus Studios, Netflix, and the series descriptions) establish who the core cast is and what the show covers.
- Show-specific news sites and retrospective articles are useful for recent activity, but check their publication dates and whether they cite first-party sources.
- Personal business details and collection counts change quickly. Use the date of the article that reports them, not the date you read them.
The Mike Hall collection figures are the clearest example. Each number belongs to a specific report, and none of them is a current inventory.
