Worksport’s SOLIS is no longer an upcoming product: the company announced online sales in December 2025. It combines a hard-folding pickup-bed cover with integrated solar panels, but its output depends on bed length and conditions, and it does not directly charge an electric pickup’s traction battery. Check Worksport’s current fitment selector, price, stock and delivery estimate for your truck before ordering.
What is the Worksport SOLIS?
SOLIS is a low-profile, hard-folding tonneau cover with integrated solar panels. Worksport says it clamps to existing bed rails without drilling or permanent bed modifications. Its three-panel folding design provides access to about two-thirds of the bed when folded, according to the SOLIS product page.
The panels generate DC power. The cover uses MC4 connectors to link to compatible storage or solar equipment, so SOLIS is both a bed cover and a way to collect solar energy—not a self-contained battery system.
How much power does SOLIS produce?
Worksport lists different maximum outputs for different bed lengths. These are company specifications under ideal conditions, not a guarantee of what a truck will generate in everyday use.

| Bed length | Worksport-stated output |
|---|---|
| 4–5 feet | Up to 300 W |
| 5.5–6 feet | Up to 380 W |
| 6.5 feet | Up to 480 W |
| 8 feet | Up to 600 W, estimated and tested under laboratory conditions |
The 600 W figure is a separate estimate for 8-foot beds, not the rating for every SOLIS configuration. Worksport says actual output varies with factors including bed size, environment and maintenance. Shading, panel cleanliness and conditions at the vehicle’s parking location can affect generation; the listed maximums should not be treated as expected continuous output.
How does the cover connect to power equipment?
SOLIS’s MC4 connectors can connect to a compatible battery system, portable power station, charge controller or other solar-ready equipment. Worksport says compatible setups require MC4 connectors and an onboard solar controller; other equipment may need an adapter or an external controller. Check the specific equipment’s accepted voltage, current and controller requirements before connecting it. A connector that physically fits is not, by itself, proof of electrical compatibility.

Worksport positions its COR modular portable battery and power system as a companion to SOLIS. With suitable storage and equipment, the generated power can be used for items such as tools, lighting, electronics and camping or emergency devices. The exact equipment needed depends on the intended use and electrical specifications.
Does SOLIS charge an electric truck?
No direct traction-battery charging was described for the current system. In its December 16, 2025 announcement of the R1T version, Worksport said SOLIS was not then integrated to directly charge an EV battery. The company described using the solar output with a separate storage unit to power devices and equipment instead. That announcement also said the R1T cover had approximately 250 W of onboard solar generation, a model-specific company figure rather than a universal SOLIS rating. See Worksport’s R1T announcement.

Will SOLIS fit your truck?
Fitment is specific to truck year, make, model and bed size. Worksport says covers are made to order and advises buyers to measure the bed carefully. Use the current vehicle-specific fitment selector and measurement instructions on the product page rather than relying on a nominal bed length or another truck’s configuration.
Worksport said its R1T model was designed for trucks with or without an existing factory powered retractable tonneau cover. That is a detail of the announced R1T fitment; it should not be assumed to apply to other vehicles.

When did SOLIS go on sale, and what does it cost?
Worksport announced on October 30, 2025 that SOLIS and COR orders would open November 28, then announced an online-sales launch on December 1. Its November 10 launch pricing listed initial U.S. MSRPs of $1,999 for compact and midsize trucks with approximately 4-foot to 5-foot beds, $2,299 for common 5.5-foot short beds, and $2,499 for approximately 6.5-foot-and-longer beds. These were launch prices, not confirmation of current prices. The live product listing displays its own package prices and promotions, so check it for the current amount and whether your configuration can be ordered.
Worksport’s December 16, 2025 R1T announcement said the Rivian cover was available to order and that initial shipments were then expected by mid-January. Those were statements made at launch, not current inventory or delivery information. Verify present stock and lead time directly on the current listing.

- Review the live product listing for current package contents, price, inventory and delivery estimate.
