A woman was arrested after a Tesla Cybertruck used by the Dayton-area ice cream business Cyber Cream Dayton had all but one of its windows smashed in a Bellbrook, Ohio, driveway, WHIO reported on July 17, 2024. Police said she was cited on a misdemeanor criminal-damaging charge; the sources available do not establish the case’s eventual outcome.
What happened to the Cybertruck?
WHIO reported that owner Daniel Herres was home when he heard what sounded like breaking glass. A Ring camera captured the sound, according to the report. WHIO said a woman drove into the driveway, got out, smashed all but one of the truck’s windows, and left. Herres said two children were inside the vehicle at the time.

The Cybertruck was a 2024 model used for Cyber Cream Dayton, Herres’s ice-cream business. WHIO reported that repairs would cost nearly $10,000. Herres said the damage would force the business to close for the rest of summer 2024, telling WHIO, “Within 30 seconds, our business was torpedoed.”
Who was arrested, and what was she accused of?
WHIO identified the woman as 29-year-old Courtney Piotrowski of Richmond, Indiana. Sugarcreek Township police told the outlet that officers found her nearby minutes after the incident. Bellbrook police issued her a citation for misdemeanor criminal damaging, and WHIO reported that she was due in Xenia Municipal Court on July 29, 2024.

WHIO quoted Herres expressing concern for the children: “I feel really sorry for the children, and we just really wish the best for everyone, we want everyone to come out OK with this.” His statement and the reported business closure describe the immediate impact as he understood it in July 2024; they do not establish the business’s later status.
