Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →The Wingamm Oasi looks like a camper van built on a panel van, but its living body is a motorhome structure: a fiberglass monocoque that is integrated with the cab and chassis. The resemblance is visual. On Wingamm’s European model pages the Oasi is based on Fiat Ducato chassis, while its US overview lists the same family on RAM ProMaster. So the accurate answer is that the Oasi is a purpose-built motorhome that is designed to look like a Ducato-based camper van, and the base vehicle depends on which market you are buying in.
What “fiberglass monocoque” means for the Oasi
A monocoque is a structure in which the outer shell carries the load, rather than a separate frame with panels fixed to it. Wingamm describes the Oasi body as a fiberglass monocoque, and says it is integrated with the cab and chassis platform. In practical terms, the living compartment is a single molded shell that forms the walls, roof and floor of the habitable area, rather than a box that a converter fits inside a standard van.
That distinction matters for how you should think about the vehicle. A conventional camper conversion starts with a complete panel van, cuts it open and adds furniture, insulation and a roof lift or pop-up. The Oasi starts from a motorhome body concept and mounts it on a chassis that the manufacturer specifies. Wingamm’s published material does not give independent measurements of stiffness, weight distribution or insulation performance, so the monocoque claim should be read as a description of how the vehicle is built, not as proof that it is stronger or better insulated than a conversion.
Camper van or motorhome?
The Oasi is a motorhome. The cab, chassis and living body are designed together, and the front of the vehicle is styled to read as a Ducato-style van, which is the source of the “disguise” in the headline. If you are shopping for a converted van, you are looking at a different product category, with different strengths: a converted van usually has a lower overall height and a more familiar driving position, while a motorhome of this type trades some of that for a more integrated living space.

Wingamm’s European overview describes the Oasi range as having a monocoque body and a refined interior. The company also says: “The eye-catching design of the monocoque body matches the refined and ergonomic interior, offering unparalleled performance.” That is Wingamm’s own wording. “Unparalleled performance” is a marketing claim, not a comparison against other vehicles, and no independent test in the published material supports it.
Which base vehicle you get depends on the market
The base chassis is the most important variable to confirm before comparing any Oasi figure, because the dimensions, mass and emissions equipment change with it.

| Market shown in Wingamm’s material | Base vehicle named | Models listed | Where the information comes from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Europe | Fiat Ducato variants | Oasi 540, Oasi 610, Oasi 690 (Oasi 690 GC cited specifically) | Wingamm’s European model overview (undated) and Oasi 690 GC product page, both checked in 2026 |
| United States | RAM ProMaster | Oasi 540.1, Oasi 610 GL, Oasi 690 | Wingamm’s US overview, checked in 2026 |
Wingamm’s US overview contains mixed metric and imperial values, and some of its figures appear inconsistent with each other. Use the market-specific product page for the vehicle you intend to buy, and do not carry European millimetre figures over to a ProMaster-based unit without checking them against that unit’s specification.
Oasi models and their published sizes
The European overview lists three length classes. The figures below are Wingamm’s own published values. The overview does not state a model year for the figures, and the emissions designations differ between variants, so confirm both against the build you are offered.

| Model | Overall length | Travel seats | Berths or beds (as listed) | Total mass | Other published figures |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Oasi 540 | 5,420 mm | 4 | 2 (as listed in the overview) | 3,500 kg | Turning circle given as 11.40 (unit as printed in the overview) |
| Oasi 610 | 6,103 mm | 4 | 4 for the listed versions | 3,500 kg | Variant entries reference both Euro 6D Temp and Euro 6D Final; not stated as one current specification |
| Oasi 690 | 6,920 mm | 4 | 4 | 3,500 kg | Variant entries vary; check the specific build |
The 540 is the shortest option, and its published length is about 1.5 metres less than the 690. For a buyer who parks in a standard driveway or a narrow urban space, that difference is the most practical one to check first, along with the turning circle.
Oasi 690 GC: the one fully detailed page
Wingamm’s Oasi 690 GC product page is the most complete single listing in the material. It gives the following figures for that version, which uses a Fiat Ducato Euro 6D Temp chassis:

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which Oasi fits four people?
Three of the four listed travel seats and berth counts for the 610 and 690 match four occupants, and the 690 GC lists four travel seats and four berths. The 540 is listed with four travel seats but only two beds, so it works for four people travelling but sleeps fewer than four overnight. If four people will sleep in the vehicle, the 610 or 690 is the more relevant range, and the layout of each specific build decides whether those four berths are practical for daily use.

What the published figures do not establish
Wingamm’s material describes its construction and publishes dimensions, seating, berths and mass for the versions it lists. It does not establish the following, and you should not assume them from the brochure language:
- Independent crash or structural test results for the monocoque body
- Insulation performance, leak resistance or long-term durability compared with conventional conversions
- Fuel consumption, handling or braking behaviour
- Payload for a given build, which depends on options, water, gas and passengers
- Current market availability, dealer network, repair costs or resale values
Treat the Oasi as a documented manufacturer design, and verify performance claims against independent reviews or the specific vehicle’s test documentation before relying on them.
Checking a specific Oasi before you buy
- Confirm the market and base chassis in writing. A European Ducato-based unit and a US ProMaster-based unit are different vehicles with different figures.
- Get the model year and the exact emissions designation from the build sheet, since the overview lists both Euro 6D Temp and Euro 6D Final entries.
- Match the overall length and turning circle to the places you will park and drive. Measure your garage or driveway against the stated length, plus allowance for the rear overhang of 1,937 mm on the 690 GC.
- Ask for the payload of that exact build, not the total mass alone. The 3,500 kg total mass is the same across the listed models, so payload is what differs once options are fitted.
- Check the seating and sleeping layout against how you will use it. Confirm that the four berths on a 610 or 690 are usable in the layout you are buying.
- Ask the dealer or manufacturer’s representative about warranty, inspection and servicing for the chassis and the living body separately, since they may be handled by different parties.
If you are buying through a dealer or motorhome specialist, the same checklist works as a list of questions to put to them before you sign anything.
