A March 5, 2025 Reddit post reproduced text attributed to a Yamaha Motorsports dealer notice saying deliveries might be delayed as late as Q3 2025 because component availability continued to be a challenge. What Yamaha said about the North American rollout
On March 14, 2025, Yamaha reported that the R9 had made its World Supersport debut at Phillip Island on February 21–23 and was in the process of being released in Europe and North America. That describes a regional rollout; it does not confirm retail stock at every US dealer or provide an individual preorder delivery date. Yamaha’s March 2025 racing release gave no revised US retail ETA.

Yamaha Motor Co.’s October 10, 2024 regional launch announcement said the model’s Japanese release was planned from spring 2025 onward. That was a separate market plan, not a guarantee of US deliveries. The regional announcement should not be used to infer a US dealer’s timing.
When is the Yamaha R9 expected to arrive in the US?
The last broadly stated US timing in the available sources was Yamaha’s original expectation that dealer arrivals would begin in March 2025. The later reported notice gave a possible delay window extending as late as Q3 2025. Yamaha’s March rollout statement confirmed North American release activity, but none of these statements establishes a current nationwide arrival date or the delivery timing for a particular buyer.
