What engines did the preview predict?
Before the reveal, the author expected a 2.0-liter Boxer engine in the base trim, a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter Boxer in Sport and Limited trims, and continued availability of a Crosstrek Hybrid. Those were predictions in the preview, not final specifications established by that article.
What did it predict for the Wilderness trim?
The preview expected the Wilderness to follow the standard trims by a few months, with U.S. availability in late summer or early fall 2023. This, too, was a dated forecast rather than a current statement about inventory or ordering.
