The available evidence does not support a verified ranking of 12 celebrities who currently own the most expensive Rolls-Royces. Rolls-Royce’s own historical accounts do document two famous Phantom V connections—John Lennon commissioned one in 1965, and Elvis Presley bought one in 1963—but neither establishes who owns the most valuable cars today.
Why a verified top-12 list is not possible
A celebrity being photographed in a Rolls-Royce does not prove that they own it. They may be driving a borrowed or rented car, riding in a chauffeur-driven vehicle, or appearing beside someone else’s car. A defensible ownership list needs a dated, attributable source for each person that establishes personal ownership and identifies the vehicle.
The available sources do not establish current ownership for 12 celebrities or provide comparable valuations for their cars. They therefore cannot support a ranked list under the title’s promise.
Two documented celebrity connections: Lennon and Presley
John Lennon’s Phantom V
Rolls-Royce’s Phantom centenary history says Lennon commissioned a Phantom V in 1965. The company notes it was among the first cars in Britain equipped with tinted rear windows. This documents a historical commission, not present-day ownership or the car’s current value. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars PressClub

Elvis Presley’s Phantom V
Rolls-Royce says Presley bought a Midnight Blue Phantom V with bespoke features in 1963 and donated his Phantom to the SHARE charity in 1968. These dated events establish historical ownership; they do not show who owns the car now or how it ranks by value. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars PressClub
What “most expensive” would need to mean
There is no single reliable way to compare celebrity Rolls-Royces without specifying what the price represents. A documented purchase price, an auction result, an original specification price, and a present-day estimate are different measures and may refer to different dates and markets.
Rank #2
- [Product size] 8.7×3.1×2.6 inches(1:24 scale). Package weight: Approx. 1.25 pounds. Suitable for playing.
- [Material] This car model is made of zinc alloy, plastic and electronic components.
- [Good quality] Very realistic and cool. Fine workmanship. The car model has detailed interior and exterior.
- [Function] Movable car logo. Two doors can be opened. Both front and rear hoods can also be opened. Three-position switch on the bottom of the car controls the sound and lights. When in the sound position, pressing the front of the car triggers sound and lights. Opening the door can also trigger it. Pressing the steering wheel triggers the horn sound. When in light gear, the headlights and rear lights are always on.
- [Awesome gift] Sturdy car body. It is an ideal gift for kids, also great to use for collection and decoration.
Specification also matters. Rolls-Royce states that model prices depend on specification, so a model’s starting price cannot be treated as the final price of a bespoke car. Any fair comparison would need to identify the model and year, body style, market, bespoke options, and the price basis and date. Rolls-Royce Phantom

The manufacturer’s model materials identify Phantom, Ghost, Wraith, Dawn, and Cullinan. Its retrospective dates Wraith to 2013, Dawn to 2016, and Cullinan to 2018. Those names and dates help describe the range, but they do not establish which celebrities own particular examples or which cars are most expensive. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars PressClub
