Austin-area Tesla locations serve different purposes. Use the address in the row that matches your appointment or charging stop, rather than searching only for “Tesla Austin.”

Tesla’s filings identify Austin as its headquarters and Gigafactory Texas as a primary manufacturing facility, but the current contact and event pages are the more useful sources for planning a visit. The 2022 Form 10-K supplies that corporate and manufacturing context.

Getting to Tesla Headquarters and Gigafactory Texas
Use the current corporate listing
Tesla’s Contact page currently labels the headquarters and factory destination as 1 Tesla Road, Austin, TX 78725. That is the address to use when your Tesla contact, appointment or business correspondence specifically identifies headquarters or Gigafactory Texas.
- Open Tesla’s Contact page and locate the entry labeled “Tesla Headquarters – Gigafactory Texas.”
- Select the page’s Directions link rather than relying on an old saved pin or an address copied from a third-party map.
- Enter your starting point and review the destination name and ZIP code before starting navigation.
- Keep the Tesla listing open while traveling so you can check for a changed entrance, access note or other current instruction.
The listing establishes the destination address and provides a route link; it does not publish a general visitor entrance procedure. Do not assume that arriving at the factory guarantees admission, a tour or access to production areas. If a Tesla employee, appointment confirmation or event email supplied a different gate or meeting point, follow that instruction and contact the responsible Tesla team before driving.
Why an older address may appear in navigation results
Tesla’s corporate filings contain a different, dated address. In a Form 8-K dated December 1, 2021, Tesla announced that its corporate headquarters had relocated to Gigafactory Texas at 13101 Harold Green Road, Austin, Texas 78725. The current sources reviewed here do not explain how that Harold Green Road address relates to the later Tesla Road listings.

Keep the date and label attached to each address:
- 1 Tesla Road: current Tesla Contact-page label for Tesla Headquarters – Gigafactory Texas.
- 13101 Harold Green Road: address used in Tesla’s December 2021 headquarters-relocation filing.
- 12201 Tesla Road: separate current event listing for the Austin Direct Delivery Center.
If your paperwork says Harold Green Road, Tesla Road or a numbered gate, ask the issuing Tesla department to confirm the destination before you set out. A map application may retain an older business record even when Tesla’s current page uses a different address.

Going to the Austin Direct Delivery Center or a Factory Experience
Recognize the separate 12201 Tesla Road listing
Tesla’s Experience Gigafactory Texas page separately lists the Austin Direct Delivery Center at 12201 Tesla Road, Austin, TX 78725. This is the destination associated with the scheduled Factory Experience described on that page and with vehicle pickup when Tesla tells a customer to attend there.
Do not substitute 1 Tesla Road for 12201 Tesla Road simply because both listings use Tesla Road. The pages have different labels and purposes. Read the address in your event confirmation or delivery communication and use that exact destination.

The event page says participants must schedule a visit when a vehicle is ready for pickup, complete site registration and sign a nondisclosure agreement before the tour. Registration information is supplied before the visit. The page also includes clothing guidance; review the live instructions instead of assuming ordinary factory access rules.
The page lists Factory Experience dates in September 2026. Because those dates are now in the past relative to October 2026, check the live event page and your Tesla communication for any replacement dates, cancellation notices or current availability. The page does not establish a standing, walk-in public-tour policy outside the scheduled event process.
- Open the event page linked above and confirm that the event or pickup program is currently offered.
- Use the registration instructions Tesla sends for your reservation; do not arrive without the required registration.
- Complete the site registration and sign the NDA as directed.
- Save the confirmation showing the date, arrival instructions and the 12201 Tesla Road destination.
- On the day, follow the event’s clothing and site-safety guidance and show the confirmation if staff request it.
Planning a pickup
A pickup appointment is not the same as permission to tour the factory. A delivery-center message may direct you to 12201 Tesla Road while a Factory Experience invitation has additional registration and NDA requirements. Check which activity your confirmation covers, how early Tesla wants you there and whether the vehicle is actually marked ready for pickup.

Using Tesla Service Austin-West
Address and appointment process
Tesla lists Tesla Service Austin-West at 7010 State Highway 71, Austin, TX 78735. This is a service destination, not the Gigafactory headquarters and not one of the charging sites listed below.
- Open the Tesla app associated with the vehicle.
- Start a service request and describe the problem, warning message or maintenance need.
- Review the location Tesla assigns; select Austin-West only when the appointment details identify it.
- Confirm the appointment time and the current address and hours shown in the app or Tesla’s service listing.
- Bring any requested documents, keys or parts information and allow time for check-in.
Tesla’s contact guidance says customers should begin by scheduling service in the app. Do not drive to the facility expecting an unscheduled inspection or roadside repair. Hours and appointment availability can change, so the appointment record is more reliable than a previously saved business-hours note.
Keeping service and factory trips separate
A navigation result for Austin-West will take you to State Highway 71 rather than to the 78725 factory area. Conversely, a factory address will not direct you to the service advisers handling a repair. Before pressing “Start,” compare the ZIP code and street name with the appointment:
- 78735 / State Highway 71: Austin-West service appointment.
- 78725 / Tesla Road: headquarters, Gigafactory Texas or the separately listed delivery center, depending on the exact address.
Finding an Austin Supercharger
A Supercharger stop is a charging destination, not evidence that you have reached Gigafactory Texas. Tesla’s Find Us pages list individual sites with their own access hours and site information. Three Austin-area examples are below.

The source listings provide location-specific operational fields, but those fields can change. Check the selected page immediately before departure for the number of stalls, maximum listed power, access hours and whether Tesla notes support for non-Tesla electric vehicles using a NACS adapter. “Not stated” in a general guide should never be read as “none”; it means the value must be obtained from the live location page.

Choosing among the charging sites
Choose by your route and destination, not by the word “Austin” alone:
- Traveling through the airport area: review Spirit of Texas Drive and its ABIA Retail Center location.
- On the north side near Research Boulevard: review the Gateway Shopping Center listing.
- Near Tech Ridge: review the West Canyon Ridge Drive listing.
Open the location page, select its map or directions control, and verify that the map pin matches the street address. Shopping-center access roads can place the charger away from the main road shown in a search result. If the Tesla app displays a different live site status or access restriction, use the app’s current information rather than an old screenshot or saved route.

Use the destination-specific workflow
- Identify the purpose. Write down whether you are visiting headquarters, attending the scheduled experience, collecting a vehicle, taking a vehicle for service or charging.
- Copy the exact address. Use the Tesla page or appointment confirmation, including the street number and ZIP code.
- Open the official listing. Tesla’s Contact, event, service and Find Us pages use different labels; make sure the page title matches your purpose.
- Check time-sensitive information. Verify event availability, appointment time, service hours or charger access hours immediately before travel.
- Save the confirmation offline. Keep the appointment or registration email available in case mobile coverage is poor at the destination.
- Recheck the destination at navigation start. Compare the map’s destination name with the Tesla listing before driving.
Allow for a possible change in destination
Tesla may assign a different service center, delivery location or charging site than the one you first searched. A change in the app or confirmation overrides a general address guide. If two Tesla Road addresses appear, ask which one is the meeting point rather than inferring that the lower street number is a factory gate or that the higher number is open to visitors.
What not to assume
- A headquarters address does not establish public walk-in access.
- A Factory Experience invitation does not create a general tour policy for other dates.
- A Supercharger address does not provide entry to the factory or delivery center.
- A historical SEC filing address does not automatically supersede Tesla’s current operational listing.
- A saved map pin does not guarantee current hours, charger availability or the correct entrance.
Address and access troubleshooting
Your map shows Harold Green Road instead of Tesla Road
Check the date and label of the source. Harold Green Road appears in Tesla’s December 2021 headquarters-relocation filing, while the current Contact page lists 1 Tesla Road. Do not choose between them by guessing. Contact the Tesla team named in your appointment or correspondence and request the current arrival address.

Your pickup confirmation says 12201 Tesla Road but navigation suggests 1 Tesla Road
Use the address in the pickup or event confirmation. Tesla’s event page identifies 12201 Tesla Road as the Austin Direct Delivery Center, a separate listing from the headquarters and Gigafactory address. Reopen the event page and call the delivery contact if the map pin or arrival instructions conflict.

You need service but have no appointment
Start a request in the Tesla app and wait for the assigned location and time. The Austin-West address is 7010 State Highway 71, but the existence of that listing does not mean the facility can accept an unscheduled repair.
The charger you selected is unavailable
Open the individual Find Us page or Tesla app for the latest status, then select another listed Austin site that fits your route. Compare the live access information rather than relying on the static address alone. The three examples in this guide are separate sites with different surrounding retail-center contexts.
You are unsure whether a non-Tesla EV can use a site
Check the selected Supercharger listing for its current adapter note and vehicle eligibility. Adapter support is location-specific and can change; the address by itself does not establish access for every vehicle.

The safest approach is destination-first navigation: match the purpose to the official Tesla page, use the exact address shown there, and verify current access information on the day of travel. That prevents the most common Austin-area mistake—arriving at a real Tesla location that is not the one your trip requires.
