Lincoln is Ford Motor Company’s luxury brand, and Ford owns it. Lincoln vehicles are assembled at Ford and Ford joint-venture plants in the United States and China; the location depends on the model and destination market. Ford’s plant directory and 2026 announcement identify the current locations below.
Where are current Lincoln models assembled?
Ford’s global plant directory lists Lincoln models at facilities in the United States and China. The assignments below reflect the cited Ford sources as of 2026; they are not a complete vehicle-by-vehicle origin guide for every trim and market.
| Model | Assembly location listed by Ford | Market context |
|---|---|---|
| Navigator | Kentucky Truck Plant, Louisville, Kentucky | Ford’s 2026 announcement identifies Louisville as the assembly location and says these vehicles are exported to markets including Canada, Mexico, and the Middle East. |
| Aviator | Chicago Assembly Plant, Chicago, Illinois; Ford also lists Changan Ford’s Hangzhou operation in China. | Ford’s sources identify both U.S. and China production; do not assume one location applies to every Aviator or market. |
| Nautilus | Changan Ford Hangzhou Vehicle Assembly Operation, China | Listed in Ford’s global plant directory. |
| Corsair | Changan Ford Chongqing Powertrain and Vehicle Assembly Operation, China | Listed in Ford’s global plant directory. |
| Zephyr | Changan Ford Chongqing Powertrain and Vehicle Assembly Operation, China | Listed in Ford’s directory; Zephyr is not among the four SUVs on Lincoln’s U.S. model page. |
Ford’s global plant directory is the source for the China facility-to-model assignments. Ford’s 2026 production announcement identifies the current U.S. assembly locations for Navigator and Aviator.
How to find where a particular Lincoln was made
Start with the model and the market where it was built or sold. The same nameplate may not have a single worldwide assembly location: Ford lists Aviator production in both Chicago and Hangzhou, for example. The available Ford sources map models to facilities, but do not establish an exhaustive origin guide for every vehicle, trim, and destination country.

Lincoln’s U.S. model page shows four SUVs for the U.S. lineup—Corsair, Nautilus, Aviator, and Navigator—but a U.S. lineup does not mean every listed model is assembled in the United States.
Who owns Lincoln today?
Ford Motor Company owns Lincoln and describes it as its luxury brand. Ford acquired Lincoln Motor Company from founder Henry Leland on February 4, 1922, for $8 million. The acquisition price is the historical purchase price reported for 1922, not a current valuation.

What changes has Ford announced for U.S. production?
Ford announced that it plans to grow Lincoln production in the United States beginning in 2030 and phase out imports from China for the U.S. market. This is a future plan, not a completed change; the current assignments above remain the locations Ford identifies in its cited sources.

Ford reported in 2026 that it assembled more than 2 million vehicles in the United States in 2025 and employed approximately 56,300 hourly manufacturing workers there. These are Ford-wide figures; they do not describe Lincoln-only production or employment.
