There are two different products sold under the Bronco RTR name. Ford’s factory 2027 Bronco RTR is a complete vehicle with a starting MSRP just over $50,000. RTR Vehicles also lists a 2026 Bronco RTR package starting at $18,195, but that figure covers parts and labor only; the base Bronco, taxes and fees are extra. Those prices are not comparable.
Before you leave a deposit, determine which product you are buying, obtain the vehicle identification number (VIN), request the build sheet and an itemized out-the-door quote, and verify the serialized RTR equipment on the actual vehicle. The checklist below is designed to prevent the most expensive misunderstandings.

First, identify which Bronco RTR you are being offered
A seller may use “Bronco RTR” to describe either Ford’s factory 2027 model or a standard Bronco converted with an RTR package. They have different model years, pricing structures, equipment lists and warranty paperwork.

Ask the salesperson to write “factory 2027 Bronco RTR” or “RTR package installed on the applicable model year and trim” on the quote. If the answer changes between the advertisement, the window sticker and the contract, stop until the discrepancy is resolved.

What Ford’s factory 2027 Bronco RTR includes
Ford positions the factory vehicle for high-speed desert driving. That is an intended-use description from Ford, not an independent performance test or reliability rating.
Standard hardware
- Wide-track HOSS 1.0 suspension with a lift.
- 33-inch tires.
- 2.3-liter engine calibration with anti-lag.
- Upgraded engine cooling.
- Rock rails.
- Squared fenders.
- Beadlock-capable 17-inch wheels.
- RTR signature LED lighting.
Review the factory window sticker and build sheet rather than assuming every vehicle advertised as an RTR has identical equipment. A dealer-installed accessory or a replacement wheel can make a vehicle look similar while changing the specification that Ford originally certified.
Sasquatch Package with RTR Suspension
Ford lists an available Sasquatch Package with RTR Suspension for buyers seeking a more aggressive configuration. It adds 35-inch tires, a Ford Racing heavy-duty modular front bumper and HOSS 3.0 Fox internal-bypass dampers. Hyper Lime appearance treatment and RTR graphics are styling choices, not evidence of a different suspension calibration.

Confirm whether the Sasquatch package is factory-installed or added later. The distinction affects the window sticker, warranty documentation, wheel offset and replacement-parts fitment.
Factory price expectations
Ford’s published starting point is just over $50,000 MSRP for the 2027 Bronco RTR. Ford also describes a fully specified example as just under $60,000 before destination and delivery. These are manufacturer price references, not a guaranteed transaction price in your area. The final figure can include destination, taxes, government charges, dealer processing, optional equipment and any dealer markup.

The table reflects RTR’s listed package contents, not a promise that every used or dealer-advertised vehicle still has each component. Parts may have been removed, replaced after damage or substituted during installation.
Optional RTR upgrades
RTR lists optional packages including FOX 2.5 Performance Elite suspension with 37-inch tires, lighting, protection equipment and a leather interior. The page lists separate prices, but options and prices can change. Request a dated, itemized build sheet showing the exact kit, labor and taxes instead of relying on a package name in an online advertisement.
Why the two prices cannot be added or compared casually
The $18,195 RTR figure is a conversion price. You still need to buy a compatible Bronco, and the package may have options that increase the total. Ford’s “just over $50,000” figure is a complete-vehicle MSRP reference, but it also excludes destination, taxes, fees and optional equipment.
Build an out-the-door worksheet
- Write down the base Bronco model, trim, model year and VIN.
- Enter the negotiated vehicle price or the factory window-sticker MSRP.
- Add the RTR package price, installation labor and every selected upgrade as separate lines.
- List dealer-installed accessories that are not part of the RTR package.
- Add destination and delivery, taxes, title, registration, government charges and dealer processing.
- Show any dealer markup, documentation charge, trade-in allowance, finance products or other add-ons separately.
- Check that the contract total matches the worksheet before signing.
Do not use the factory model’s price as proof that an $18,195 package has already been paid for, and do not treat the package price as the cost of a drivable Bronco.
How to verify that an advertised RTR is authentic
Start with the VIN and serialization
Ask for the VIN before traveling to inspect the vehicle. RTR says it can verify a vehicle before purchase and asks buyers to provide the VIN and a photo of the RTR dash plaque. Request both from the seller, then compare them with the VIN on the windshield, door-jamb label, title and purchase paperwork.
A serialized plaque is useful evidence, but it is not a substitute for a matching build record. A vehicle can retain an emblem after parts have been removed or replaced.

Compare the installed parts with the written build
- Count five matching wheels and five matching tires, including the spare.
- Record the tire brand, size and load information from each sidewall.
- Check the grille, fender badges, graphics, spare carrier, tailgate stop and MOLLE plate.
- Look underneath for the listed exhaust and the lift configuration.
- Confirm whether the Bronco is Sasquatch and whether the wheel offset matches that configuration.
- Check that the interior floorliners and cargo mat fit the body style and model year.
Ask the selling dealer to put any missing, substituted or dealer-installed component in writing. “RTR style” or “RTR-inspired” is not the same as a serialized RTR vehicle.
Check wheels and lug nuts carefully
RTR states that wheel offsets differ between Sasquatch and non-Sasquatch vehicles. Its listed wheels require tuner-style lug nuts; OEM lug nuts are not compatible with those wheels. Have the seller show you the correct lug-nut key and verify that a spare set is included. Missing keys can turn a routine tire service into an avoidable delay.
Warranty, dealer support and service questions
RTR says serialized RTR vehicles can be serviced at Ford dealers and that it matches Ford’s basic warranty duration of 3 years or 36,000 miles for warrantable concerns on a serialized RTR vehicle. Obtain the actual written warranty for the specific vehicle. Confirm which company covers the base Bronco, suspension, wheels, tires, lighting, exhaust and interior accessories, and whether coverage transfers to a second owner.
Questions for a new vehicle
- On what date does each warranty begin?
- Is the RTR coverage separate from Ford’s vehicle warranty?
- Which dealer performs warranty diagnosis and installation-related repairs?
- Are labor, replacement parts and towing handled differently?
- Are optional 37-inch tires, lighting or protection parts covered?
Questions for a used vehicle
- What was the in-service date and current mileage?
- Has any suspension, wheel, tire or lighting component been replaced?
- Are original invoices and the serialized build record available?
- Has the vehicle been in a collision, flood, rollover or severe off-road use?
- Which portions of Ford and RTR coverage remain?
Do not assume that a remaining time or mileage allowance applies automatically to every modified component. The written terms and the vehicle’s service history control.
Match the configuration to how you will drive
High-speed desert use
The factory 2027 model’s wide-track suspension, cooling changes and available HOSS 3.0 dampers are aligned with Ford’s desert-performance positioning. That does not establish a particular speed, lap time or durability result. If this is your intended use, ask which suspension configuration is installed and whether the vehicle has the factory Sasquatch package or an aftermarket conversion.
Technical crawling and rocky trails
Large tires, lift height and bumper clearance can help with obstacles, but independent crawl testing or a universal best setup is not established. Compare the actual tire size, underbody protection, approach clearance and wheel offset with the trails you drive. A 37-inch optional package may involve different replacement costs and fitment requirements than the standard configuration.

Daily commuting
Before buying a modified vehicle as a daily driver, inspect tire noise, steering feel, alignment, parking clearance and access to replacement parts. A dealer-installed lift or nonstandard wheel can change the way the Bronco fits in a garage or parking structure. Arrange a cold start and a meaningful road drive rather than judging the vehicle only while it is stationary on a showroom floor.

Towing and mixed use
Do not infer towing capacity from the RTR name, tire diameter or suspension package. Use the exact Bronco model’s Ford rating, the vehicle’s door-jamb information and the equipment installed on that VIN. Ask the dealer how the larger tires, wheels and any added cargo affect the intended trailer setup.

- Read the records. Obtain the title, service history, installation invoice, alignment records and any collision documentation.
- Inspect the structure. Look for bent or repaired frame components, uneven panel gaps, underbody scrapes, damaged rock rails and impact marks around suspension mounts.
- Check the suspension. Look for leaking dampers, damaged springs or spacers, torn bushings and uneven ride height. Confirm that fasteners are present and that nothing contacts the tires at full steering lock.
- Measure tire condition. Record tread depth, age codes, uneven wear and sidewall damage on all five tires. Matching appearance does not prove matching specification.
- Test every electrical feature. Operate the RTR lighting, factory lamps, cameras, displays and accessories. Confirm that no warning lights remain after the test drive.
- Drive on varied pavement. Listen for vibration, wheel imbalance, exhaust contact, driveline noise and steering pull. A pre-purchase inspection by a shop familiar with modified Broncos is worthwhile.
- Recheck the quote. Ensure the VIN on the contract is the vehicle inspected and that promised repairs or missing parts are written into the deal.
Tire, wheel and replacement planning
RTR lists package configurations using 35×12.50R17 and 285/75R17 tire sizes, but neither size should be assumed to fit every Bronco RTR. Check the tire sidewall and the door-jamb or build information on the actual vehicle before ordering replacements.
Because the package uses five tires, budget for a matching spare when replacing worn rubber. Confirm the wheel offset for Sasquatch or non-Sasquatch configuration and retain the correct tuner-style lug nuts and key. Ask the installer to verify balance, torque and clearance after mounting.
Replacement cost is only one ownership consideration. Larger tires can require more storage space, a compatible lifting point and a tire carrier rated for the fitted spare. The seller should identify any changes from the original package before you plan future service.
A practical buying sequence
- Choose the path. Decide whether you want Ford’s complete 2027 model or a Bronco with the RTR package installed.
- Define the use. Write down your balance of desert driving, trails, commuting and towing before comparing tire and suspension choices.
- Request documents. Get the VIN, window sticker or build sheet, RTR plaque photo, parts list, installation invoice and warranty terms.
- Get a written quote. Separate base vehicle, package, options, dealer accessories, destination, taxes and fees.
- Verify fitment. Check model year, body style, Sasquatch status, wheel offset, lug-nut type and tire size.
- Inspect and drive. Use an independent inspection for a used or modified Bronco.
- Confirm service. Ask the selling dealer and a Ford dealer who will handle warranty diagnosis and whether the serialized record is recognized.
- Sign only after reconciliation. The VIN, equipment, warranty, promised repairs and total price should all match the final contract.
Common buying mistakes and how to avoid them
Mistaking a package price for a vehicle price
The remedy is a two-line comparison: complete Bronco cost and RTR conversion cost. Add every exclusion before deciding which is cheaper.

Assuming every RTR has the same tires
Factory equipment includes 33-inch tires, the available Sasquatch configuration uses 35-inch tires, and RTR’s optional package can use 37-inch tires. The package page also lists more than one 35-inch configuration. Read the sidewall on the vehicle you are buying.
Ignoring wheel hardware
OEM lug nuts do not fit RTR’s listed wheels. Verify the tuner-style nuts and key before taking delivery.
Relying on graphics as proof
Graphics and badges can be added to any Bronco. Match the VIN, serialized plaque, build paperwork and installed parts.

Get written coverage by component, including the start date and transfer rules. Do not rely on a verbal statement that the entire vehicle has identical coverage.
Bottom line: decide on the vehicle, not the label
A Ford factory 2027 Bronco RTR and an RTR-equipped Bronco are legitimate but different buying paths. The factory model brings Ford’s published desert-oriented specification and a complete-vehicle MSRP just over $50,000 before excluded charges. The RTR package starts at $18,195 for parts and labor, with the base vehicle and other costs still to be paid. Your safest purchase is the one whose VIN, serialized equipment, tire and wheel configuration, warranty documents and out-the-door price all agree in writing.
