If your e-Sprinto G1 will not charge, start with the external checks in the owner manual: confirm AC power at the outlet and the charger input, reseat the charger output connector, and inspect the charger and battery terminals for visible damage. The correct next step depends on what the charger indicator is doing: no power light, power light but no charging indication, or a light that stays green.

Safe preparation before checking anything
- Park the scooter on a stable, dry surface with the charger and cable free from standing water.
- Use the supplied or e-Sprinto-approved charger. Do not substitute a charger because its plug happens to look similar.
- Check the cable, plug, charger case, and connectors from the outside only. Stop if you see melting, charring, exposed conductors, a crushed cable, or a loose housing.
- Keep metal objects away from the battery and connector contacts. Never bridge contacts to “see whether” power is present.
- If the scooter, charger, or outlet is hot, smoking, sparking, or producing an unusual smell, disconnect power only if you can do so without touching a damaged part, move away, and arrange professional assistance.
The manual’s boundary is explicit: “Faults pertaining to the inner workings of the motor, controller, charger, and battery-if so, do not dismantle the parts on your own.” External inspection and connection checks are the owner-level work; electrical diagnosis inside those components is not.
Step-by-step checks for each symptom
1. The charger power light is off
- Verify the outlet. Plug in another suitable appliance, or use the outlet’s normal switch or breaker controls, to establish that AC power is available. If the outlet is dead, resolve the household power issue before blaming the scooter charger.
- Inspect the charger’s input connection. Check that the mains lead is fully seated in the charger input interface and that the wall plug is inserted completely. Look for looseness, bent contacts, or visible damage without opening the charger.
- Try the normal outlet arrangement once. If your home has a switched socket, make sure it is on. Do not use a damaged extension lead or a socket that is warm, loose, or arcing.
- Recheck the indicator. If AC power is confirmed and the input connection is intact but the charger still shows no power indication, stop troubleshooting at the external level. The charger or its input lead may require service, but the available instructions do not provide an owner repair procedure.
A charger that never powers up cannot be evaluated by the later “green light” checks. Have e-Sprinto or an authorized dealer test or replace it with the correct model-specific part.

2. The charger powers up, but the charging indicator does not work
- Check the output connector. With the charger handled according to the scooter’s normal charging procedure, confirm that the DC output connector is fully inserted into the G1 charging port. A partially seated plug can leave the charger powered while preventing a charging indication.
- Inspect both ends. Look at the charger-side connector and the battery-side charging terminals for bent, pushed-back, corroded, dirty, loose, or heat-damaged contacts. Do not scrape contacts with a metal tool and do not force a plug.
- Check for obvious cable damage. Follow the cable from the charger to the connector. If insulation is split or the strain relief has pulled away, stop using that charger.
- Consider battery usability only as a service question. The manual tells you to check whether the battery can be used, but it does not give a safe owner procedure for proving battery health. Do not open the battery, probe its cells, bypass protection, or connect an unapproved power source.
- Escalate if the external checks pass. Provide the dealer with the charger-light behavior, what you observed at each connector, and whether the scooter was recently exposed to water, impact, or heat.
There is no reliable owner conclusion that a silent charging indicator automatically means the battery has failed. The manual’s sequence deliberately leaves that diagnosis to qualified service when connector checks do not resolve the symptom.

- Check the DC connection. Confirm that the charger output connector is connected to the G1 battery charging port as intended and has not backed out.
- Check for an obvious connection error. Look for a plug that is misaligned, a damaged terminal, or wiring that appears reversed or shorted. Do not intentionally short contacts, swap wires, or perform a polarity test with improvised equipment.
- Allow for a full battery. A green indication can mean the battery is already fully charged rather than that charging has failed. Consider the scooter’s recent use and whether it completed its normal charging period.
- Stop when polarity or wiring is uncertain. If you cannot identify a correct, undamaged connection from the outside, disconnect and contact service rather than experimenting.
The green light by itself is not proof of a fault. The manual specifically directs owners to check the DC connection and whether the battery is already fully charged before treating this state as a failure.

What not to do when a G1 will not charge
- Do not dismantle electrical parts. Opening the motor, controller, charger, or battery can expose hazardous voltage, defeat protective systems, and create a later warranty or safety problem.
- Do not use a generic “matching” charger. The retrieved G1 information does not state the charger’s voltage, current, connector specification, or OEM part number. A plug that fits physically is not proof of electrical compatibility.
- Do not bypass the battery-management or charging protection. Never jump terminals, connect a second battery, or feed the battery from a bench supply unless an authorized technician gives model-specific instructions.
- Do not keep charging through visible damage. A frayed lead, cracked case, loose terminal, burning smell, or repeated arcing is a reason to stop, not to retry repeatedly.
- Do not infer battery failure from one short attempt. First establish which indicator state applies and complete the corresponding external checks.
Normal G1 charging context
e-Sprinto’s current G1 product page lists a 4.5-hour charging time. That is a manufacturer-published specification, not an independent measurement; actual time can vary with the battery’s starting state, temperature, charger condition, and other operating conditions. The specification is shown on e-Sprinto’s G1 Electric Scooter product page.
The company homepage FAQ says a standard 5-amp home socket works and does not require special setup or installation. This statement does not mean every outlet or extension lead is safe: the outlet must be in good condition, have power, and be used with the proper G1 charger. If the charger reaches green after a normal session and the scooter’s range and operation are otherwise normal, a full battery is a plausible explanation. If charging repeatedly stops much earlier than expected, never begins despite sound connections, or the scooter shows other electrical symptoms, record the behavior and ask service to test the charger and battery as a system.
Choosing a replacement charger without creating a new fault
A replacement charger is appropriate only after diagnosis indicates that the original charger has failed. The available G1 material does not establish the following details:

Ask e-Sprinto or an authorized dealer to confirm the exact G1 charger specification and compatible part number before buying. Give them the scooter model, purchase details, charger label information, and photographs of the connector if requested. Do not select a charger solely from a search result, a similar-looking plug, or a voltage claim copied from another electric scooter.
When and how to escalate to e-Sprinto service
Contact e-Sprinto, an OEM partner, or an authorized dealer when the outlet and external connections are sound but charging still does not start; when the battery’s usability is in question; when the charger remains green unexpectedly; or whenever you are unsure about wiring, polarity, or damage. The manual directs owners to the OEM or dealer for unresolved problems and warns against dismantling internal parts.

The current G1 product page states a 5 years/60,000 km warranty, whichever comes first. This is a manufacturer-published warranty statement. Whether a particular charger, battery, or wiring fault is covered depends on e-Sprinto’s warranty terms and inspection, so confirm eligibility with the company using your purchase and service records.
A concise decision checklist
- Identify the indicator state.
- Confirm AC power at the outlet and the charger input.
- Confirm the DC output connector is fully and correctly connected.
- Inspect charger and battery terminals and the cable for visible damage.
