Check the actual equipment, not just the brochure
Hyundai’s product information lists several safety and convenience features, but the equipment on the car you pay for is controlled by the ordered variant, factory fitment and any dealer-installed accessory. Ask the salesperson to demonstrate the equipment on the specific vehicle or provide an itemized build sheet.
Safety and convenience features to confirm
- Six airbags.
- Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD).
- Seatbelt reminders for all seats.
- Rear parking sensors.
- Speed-limiting function at 80 km/h.
- Automatic door lock and unlock functions.
- Rear air-conditioning vents.
- Front and rear power windows.
- Electrically adjustable outside mirrors.
- Type-C fast USB charger.
Do not assume a feature is fitted because it appears in a general product presentation. Have the quotation identify the variant and list included equipment. Photograph the displayed car’s instrument panel, safety labels and accessories if the dealer agrees, then compare those details with the final invoice.
Infotainment and rear camera are listed as accessories
Hyundai labels the 22.96 cm (9-inch) infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, together with the rear camera, as accessories. Ask four separate questions: Is each item included in your deal, what is its installed price, is it compatible with your phone and vehicle, and what installation warranty applies? Ask whether dealer installation changes or limits any vehicle or electrical-system warranty. List every accessory on the order form rather than accepting a verbal inclusion.
Get a Banda-specific written price before paying
Hyundai’s product page tells buyers to check the latest prices and variants with the nearest dealer because prices can change without notice. The page does not provide a Banda quote. A dealer listing for PR Hyundai in Lucknow is an example of a location-specific ex-showroom listing; it does not prove Banda inventory, delivery or an on-road total.

Request a signed or otherwise attributable quotation from the outlet that will actually invoice and deliver your PRIME SD. It should separate every amount:
- Vehicle ex-showroom price and the exact variant name.
- Goods and services tax or other applicable taxes.
- Registration charges and commercial-registration charges.
- Insurance premium, policy type and commercial-use terms.
- Any permit, fitness, inspection or documentation charge the dealer is collecting.
- Accessories, installation and accessory warranty.
- Delivery, handling or logistics charges.
- Finance assumptions, interest rate, tenure, processing charges and total repayment, if finance is involved.

Preserve every footnote when discussing these numbers. Ask the lender for a sanction letter or written repayment schedule before treating an EMI as affordable. Your real monthly cost also includes fuel, insurance, servicing, tyres, permits, downtime and finance charges.
Confirm commercial registration and the Prime SD taxi permit path
Hyundai describes the PRIME SD as taxi-permit ready and says its factory-fitted CNG kit is RTO-approved. Hyundai’s taxi page states: “The PRIME SD taxi features a factory-fitted, RTO-approved CNG kit that meets all commercial taxi permit requirements, ensuring hassle-free registration and immediate readiness for authorised sedan taxi operations across India.” This is the manufacturer’s claim about the product; it is not a guarantee that an individual buyer’s registration or permit in Banda will be approved automatically.

Before paying, explain your intended operating area to the dealer and independently confirm the requirements with the relevant registering or transport authority. Establish each of the following in writing:
- The commercial vehicle registration class that applies to your intended taxi use.
- Whether you need a state, district, contract-carriage or another permit type for your routes.
- Whether the vehicle must undergo a fitness test, inspection or special marking.
- What insurance wording is required for paid passenger use.
- Which CNG certificates, type-approval records or installation documents accompany the vehicle.
- Whether any local tax, permit fee or recurring renewal is payable.
- Which party submits applications, pays fees and corrects rejected documentation.
Ask for a document checklist with the responsible party and expected submission date beside every item. Do not book on the assumption that “RTO-approved” means your permit is already granted or that the dealer will complete every local formalality at no cost.
Use Hyundai’s enquiry process, but do not mistake it for proof of stock
Hyundai’s commercial taxi enquiry flow asks for the model, fuel type, variant, state, city and dealer. Enter Banda and Uttar Pradesh accurately so the enquiry is routed to the right location, then save the confirmation or call record. An enquiry form only requests a response; it does not prove that a Banda outlet has a vehicle, a confirmed allocation or a delivery date. Require a written stock or allocation statement before making a non-refundable payment.

Put warranty, CNG coverage and service terms in the order file
Hyundai advertises standard warranty coverage of three years or 100,000 km, whichever limit is reached first, and roadside assistance for three years. It also advertises an optional extended warranty of up to five years or 180,000 km. Confirm the exact terms for your vehicle rather than relying on the headline:

- Which date starts the warranty clock: invoice, registration or delivery?
- Does the CNG system, tank, valves, injectors and related electronics have the same coverage and exclusions?
- Which services must be completed, at what intervals and through which authorised facilities?
- What parts are excluded or treated as wear items?
- What is the price, duration, mileage limit and cancellation rule for the extended warranty?
- How do you request roadside assistance, and are towing or out-of-area limits applicable?
Request the actual warranty booklet or digital warranty terms for the delivered car. Keep invoices and service records because commercial use can make maintenance frequency and downtime especially important.
Delivery inspection: match the car to the documents
Do not release the balance payment until the vehicle and paperwork pass a delivery check. Use this sequence:
- Read the vehicle identification number (VIN) on the car and compare it with the invoice, booking form and registration paperwork.
- Confirm the model name, variant, model year and colour.
- Inspect the body, glass, wheels, tyres, lights, seats and dashboard in daylight; record any damage before acceptance.
- Start the engine in both petrol and CNG modes if the dealer’s procedure permits, and check warning lights, air-conditioning, windows, mirrors, USB charger, parking sensors and the speed-limiting function.
- Verify that the CNG tank, labels, certificates and factory-fitment documents are present and correspond to the VIN.
- Check the accessory list, installation quality, compatibility and warranty for the infotainment unit or rear camera if ordered.
- Collect both keys, owner’s manual, maintenance schedule, warranty documents, insurance papers and every receipt promised in the order.
- Ask for the confirmed first-service date and the contact point for roadside assistance.
Hyundai’s owner-manual page groups Aura and PRIME SD manuals and lets users select by model year. Select the year that matches your vehicle and ensure the supplied manual and maintenance schedule correspond to the actual car. Retain copies of the invoice, delivery note, warranty registration and service history.

Have the booking form state the expected delivery window, what happens if the quoted price changes, and whether you can cancel for a delayed or substituted vehicle. Ask whether your booking is transferable, whether the booking amount is refundable in full or after deductions, and how long a refund takes. If the dealer proposes a different model year, colour, variant or accessory package, require a revised quotation and your written acceptance before paying more.

Compare PRIME SD with another taxi only on like-for-like evidence
If you are considering another sedan, compare written and current figures rather than slogans. Use the same route assumptions and passenger load for both vehicles.

Hyundai’s own pricing disclaimer is direct: “The prices and variants of the cars may change without prior notice. Please check the latest prices and variants with your nearest Hyundai dealer before booking the car.” Treat that as a reason to refresh the written quote immediately before payment, not as a reason to skip documentation.
