Subaru of America’s March 19, 2026 brochure gives the following interior dimensions for the U.S. WRX. They are manufacturer measurements; they cannot predict how a particular driver, passenger or child seat will fit.

Infotainment and phone use on a commute
The WRX’s standard multimedia system is an 11.6-inch high-resolution touchscreen. Subaru specifies wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, so a compatible phone does not need to be plugged in solely to use those integrations. Trunk capacity and folding rear seats
The WRX has a 12.5-cubic-foot trunk. That is useful everyday sedan storage, but it remains a conventional trunk rather than a hatchback opening. The rear seatbacks fold in a 60/40 split. You can lower one section while retaining a rear seating position, or fold both sections when the load is longer than the trunk alone can accommodate. Accessories for dirt, snow and seatback protection
Subaru’s April 1, 2026 accessories brochure lists a vehicle-specific high-wall All-Weather Floor Liner, part number J501SVC000. Subaru says it is engineered for the WRX footwell and helps protect carpet from spills, snow, sand, mud, dirt and moisture.
The same brochure explicitly warns: “Not intended for use on top of Carpeted Floor Mats.” Remove the carpeted mats before installing the liners; stacking mats can interfere with fit and pedal clearance. Two other listed accessories address cargo use:
- Cargo Tray: a removable protective surface for the trunk area.

Choose Limited for convenience equipment
Limited adds a power-adjustable driver seat and Ultrasuede-and-leather-trimmed upholstery. Subaru’s published configuration also associates Limited with navigation and Harman Kardon audio. Verify whether the particular vehicle includes the desired moonroof or package, because those features are not universal across every WRX.
Choose GT or tS for performance-oriented seating
GT and tS combine power driver-seat adjustment with Recaro performance-design front seats. That may appeal to drivers who want a more aggressively shaped seat, but the official specifications do not establish long-distance comfort. A longer test sit is especially important before selecting these trims for a daily commute.
