The Shiver 6×6 is a rally-team support motorhome, not a Dakar competition vehicle. Built around Expandable’s 30-foot Pod and carried by a heavy-duty 6×6 truck, it is designed to provide Shiver Offroad with a mobile place to sleep, eat and regroup. The available reports describe the build and its intended role; they do not independently confirm that it has deployed at a particular rally.
What is the Shiver 6×6 motorhome?
It is a custom mobile base created for Shiver Offroad, using a truck to transport an expandable living module. Expandable describes the setup as a self-contained mobile base for the team. The company’s account of the build is available on its Shiver Offroad mobile rally base page.
The idea is to take accommodation and team-support space to rally locations rather than use the vehicle itself as a racer. The 6×6 truck carries the Pod in its narrower transport configuration; once parked, the module expands to create a larger interior.
Is the motorhome racing in the Dakar Rally?
No. The motorhome is intended to support the team, while Shiver Offroad’s competition vehicle is a separate Century CR7. New Atlas describes the motorhome as lodging for the team, not a rally entry. The official Dakar profile for Michiel Becx identifies the Shiver Offroad Century CR7 in the 2026 competitor context.

The Dakar profile lists the CR7 at 430 hp, 2,000 kg, 443 cm long, and with a 500 L fuel tank. Those figures apply to the competition car, not the 6×6 support motorhome.
How big is the expandable Pod?
Expandable calls the module a 30-foot Pod. New Atlas reported more detailed dimensions in 2025, including its transport and deployed footprint:

The difference between the narrow road-going form and the expanded living space is central to the design: the truck can carry the Pod, then the module opens out at its destination. The detailed dimensions and area figures are New Atlas’s reported measurements, rather than specifications listed on the builder page.

New Atlas estimated a base price of US$312,300 in 2025 for a similar 30-foot Pod with selected options, configured empty. That estimate was for the Pod configuration—not a quoted price for Shiver’s custom motorhome—and excluded furnishings, amenities, taxes, fees and the truck. The available reporting does not establish a sale price for the completed Shiver build.
