Lamborghini’s current core lineup has moved to hybrid powertrains, but “hybrid Lamborghini” does not describe one type of car. The Revuelto is a V12 hybrid super sports car, the Temerario replaces the Huracán with a twin-turbo V8 hybrid system, and the Urus SE is a plug-in-hybrid Super SUV. For a buyer, the important questions are which body style and engine fit the intended use, whether regular external charging is practical, which market’s fuel-economy figures apply, and what maintenance and battery coverage is written into the contract.
The shift changes how these cars are used as much as how they are powered. Electric assistance is now part of the performance and emissions strategy across the range, while the three models retain markedly different characters. Lamborghini’s published figures are manufacturer specifications and market disclosures, not independent road tests or guarantees of an owner’s real-world fuel use or electric range.

What Lamborghini’s hybrid strategy changes
Lamborghini calls its electrification program Direzione Cor Tauri. In its 2024 sustainability report, the company says the strategy is intended to reduce emissions from new vehicles through complete hybridization. Lamborghini’s 2025 Environmental Statement lists the Revuelto, Urus SE and Temerario among vehicles in production and describes the brand as having completed a fully hybrid fleet phase.

Those are statements about Lamborghini’s product strategy and lineup. They do not constitute an independent assessment of the cars’ total environmental impact, including manufacturing, electricity generation, fuel production or end-of-life treatment. The practical buyer takeaway is narrower: the current core models use gasoline engines together with electric systems, and the vehicles are positioned for different jobs rather than as interchangeable versions of one formula.

“With the Urus SE, we’ve taken another step towards the future in line with our Direzione Cor Tauri strategy, moving ahead with the electrification of the range and the path toward decarbonization that began with the introduction of the Revuelto super sports car in March 2023.”
— Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini Chairman and CEO, Urus SE announcement
In the same announcement, Chief Technical Officer Rouven Mohr described the project’s mission as combining “state-of-the-art performance” with Lamborghini’s characteristic identity. That explains why the hybrid systems are not presented simply as economy technology: they are also used to deliver the power, response and traction expected from a modern Lamborghini.

The three hybrid models are aimed at different buyers
Start with the vehicle’s role before comparing battery specifications. The headline outputs below are Lamborghini’s published claims; they are not independent test results.
| Model | Vehicle role | Powertrain and published output | Electric or fuel-economy information |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revuelto | V12 hybrid super sports car; Lamborghini’s first HPEV hybrid super sports car | V12 engine, three electric motors, 1,015 CV combined; 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds; top speed above 350 km/h | No comparable Revuelto fuel-economy rating was established in the cited material |
| Temerario | Hybrid successor to the Huracán | Twin-turbo V8 hybrid, 920 CV | US disclosure: 24 MPGe combined and 16 MPG gasoline-only; actual mileage may vary |
| Urus SE | Plug-in-hybrid Super SUV | 800 CV; 25.9-kWh battery | More than 60 km of claimed electric-mode range; US disclosure: 48 MPGe combined and 20 MPG gasoline-only |
Revuelto: the V12 choice
The Revuelto is the buyer’s choice when the defining requirement is Lamborghini’s V12 experience in the new hybrid era. Lamborghini rates its combined system at 1,015 CV and quotes 2.5 seconds for 0–100 km/h, with a top speed above 350 km/h. Its system uses three electric motors alongside the V12, making it technically different from the twin-turbo V8 Temerario and the SUV-based Urus SE.

Those numbers describe the car’s performance position, not a promise that every driver or road can reproduce them. If daily usability, cargo room or an upright driving position matters more than a V12 super-sports-car layout, the Revuelto’s role may not match the buyer’s priorities even though it is part of the same hybrid strategy.
Temerario: the Huracán successor with a hybrid V8
The Temerario succeeds the Huracán and uses a hybrid twin-turbo V8 rated at 920 CV. Lamborghini’s US website lists 24 MPGe combined and 16 MPG on gasoline alone, with the usual warning that actual mileage may vary. These figures are United States disclosures; they should not be presented as a universal global rating.
For a buyer, the Temerario represents a change in engine architecture rather than a simple battery add-on to the previous car. Anyone attached specifically to a naturally aspirated or non-turbo V10 character should arrange a drive and discuss the configuration with a dealer, because the published specifications establish the V8 hybrid layout but do not describe every subjective difference in sound, response or calibration.
Urus SE: the plug-in-hybrid SUV option
The Urus SE is the plug-in-hybrid Super SUV. Lamborghini lists 800 CV, a 25.9-kWh battery and more than 60 km of electric-mode range. Its US disclosure is 48 MPGe combined and 20 MPG gasoline-only.
The Urus SE is therefore the clearest fit for a buyer who needs an SUV body, wants to carry people or luggage, and can regularly charge at home or another convenient location. The quoted electric distance is a manufacturer claim under its stated test conditions; it is not a guarantee of the distance an owner will achieve in cold weather, high-speed driving, heavy traffic or other conditions.

What “plug-in hybrid” means in this lineup
Lamborghini’s emergency response guide identifies the Revuelto, Urus SE and Temerario as gasoline plug-in hybrids with an external charging socket. The guide gives a broad 10–60 km electric-driving range for Lamborghini’s plug-in-hybrid category. That is a category-level safety-document range, not a model-by-model promise.
The Urus SE launch material gives the more specific claim of more than 60 km in electric mode. Do not transfer that Urus SE figure to the Revuelto or Temerario. Conversely, do not treat the emergency guide’s broad category range as a replacement for a model’s market-specific specifications.
Charging questions the published material does not answer
The official material reviewed does not establish charging time, connector standard, home electrical requirements or which charging equipment is included with each model in each market. Those omissions matter because a plug-in hybrid only delivers its greatest electric-use potential when the owner can charge it conveniently and affordably.
Before signing an order, ask the authorized dealer to put the following in writing for the exact vehicle and country:
- Whether the car is supplied with a portable charging cable, wall equipment or another charging accessory.
- Which connector and cable specifications apply to that market.
- The stated charging time under the recommended charging method.
- Any electrical-capacity, installation or inspection requirements for a home charger.
- Whether charging equipment, installation support or software services carry separate terms or costs.
- How electric-mode range is measured and which warranty conditions apply to the battery and charging system.
Do not choose a home installation based only on a generic internet description. The car’s market specification and the installer’s assessment must match the actual vehicle.

How to compare the models as a buyer
1. Choose the body style and use case first
The Revuelto is a low-slung V12 super sports car, the Temerario is the two-seat successor to the Huracán’s role, and the Urus SE is an SUV. A buyer who needs rear-seat practicality, easier access or cargo capacity should begin with the Urus SE. A buyer whose priority is the V12 super-sports-car format should begin with the Revuelto. The Temerario sits between those decisions only in the sense that it is the newer mid-engined-style supercar successor in the range; it is not a smaller Urus or a V12 alternative.
2. Decide how important the engine configuration is
Hybrid assistance does not erase the difference between a V12 and a twin-turbo V8. The Revuelto’s three-motor V12 system, Temerario’s 920-CV twin-turbo V8 hybrid and Urus SE’s 800-CV SUV powertrain target different emotional and practical experiences. If engine configuration is central to the purchase, treat it as a first-order decision rather than comparing only combined power.
3. Test your charging routine honestly
Ask where the vehicle will be charged on ordinary weekdays, how often it can be connected, and whether trips will routinely exceed electric-mode capability. A plug-in hybrid can still operate with its gasoline engine, but a buyer who rarely charges should not assume the headline electric-range or MPGe figures will describe everyday use. A buyer with dependable overnight charging may be able to use electric mode for more short trips, subject to weather, speed, traffic and the vehicle’s operating conditions.
4. Separate laboratory-style ratings from fuel use
For the US-market disclosures cited by Lamborghini, the Urus SE is listed at 48 MPGe combined and 20 MPG gasoline-only, while the Temerario is listed at 24 MPGe combined and 16 MPG gasoline-only. MPGe reflects the test-cycle treatment of electrical energy; the gasoline-only figure describes operation without the combined plug-in benefit. Neither number guarantees what a particular owner will see.

What Lamborghini’s emissions claims do—and do not—tell you
Lamborghini’s 2024 sustainability report attributes model-to-predecessor CO₂ reductions of around 30% for the Revuelto versus the Aventador, up to 80% for the Urus SE versus its predecessor, and around 30% for the Temerario versus the Huracán.
These are the manufacturer’s stated comparisons. They do not amount to a complete, independently verified lifecycle comparison between the purchase options. The result can depend on the test method, vehicle configuration, how often the battery is charged, the electricity mix and the comparison vehicle. Use the figures to understand Lamborghini’s stated direction, not as a guarantee of a specific owner’s carbon footprint.
Maintenance, battery coverage and contract checks
Lamborghini says purchases of the Temerario, Revuelto and Urus SE include five years of scheduled maintenance. It also says its Selezione Warranty Extension can extend official protection to as much as 10 years from first registration, and that high-voltage batteries in all of its PHEV and HPEV models have an eight-year standard warranty.

Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Those are headline manufacturer statements. The contract for a particular market and vehicle controls the real protection. Before purchase, verify:
- What scheduled-maintenance operations and time or mileage limits are included during the five-year period.
- Whether the warranty extension is available for a new purchase, a used vehicle or both.
- Exactly when the 10-year period starts and whether coverage transfers to another owner.
- Battery-capacity thresholds, exclusions, diagnostic requirements and geographic limits.
- Roadside assistance, wear items, accidental damage and charging equipment coverage.
“Eight years” is not the same as unlimited battery performance or unlimited mileage. Ask the dealer for the written battery-warranty terms that apply to the vehicle identification number and registration country.
A practical buying process
- Define the job. Write down whether the car is primarily for weekend performance driving, daily commuting, long-distance travel, family use or a mixture. This usually identifies the body style before specifications become distracting.
- Choose the powertrain character. Decide whether the V12 Revuelto, V8 Temerario or SUV-oriented Urus SE best matches the experience you want. Compare the published outputs only after making that choice.
- Confirm local specification. Ask for the exact market’s equipment list, fuel-economy disclosure, electric-range method and charging hardware. Do not substitute a figure from another country.
- Map charging access. Identify the home, workplace or public locations you would actually use. Obtain the dealer’s connector, charging-time and installation requirements in writing.
- Price ownership on the contract’s terms. Review the five-year scheduled-maintenance inclusion, available warranty extension and eight-year high-voltage-battery warranty, including exclusions and mileage limits.
- Arrange a representative drive. Drive in the conditions that matter to you, and ask how the vehicle behaves when the battery is charged, partly depleted and being used in hybrid operation. The published documents establish the powertrain layout, not every real-world response.
- Keep the promises with the vehicle records. Retain the order specification, charging information, warranty booklet and maintenance schedule. They are more useful for future claims than a general model description.
Which buyer benefits most from the shift?
The performance traditionalist
This buyer may value the Revuelto’s V12 identity above efficiency. Hybridization adds electric motors to the package, but the model remains positioned as a V12 super sports car. The decision is whether the new system’s performance and added complexity fit the desired experience, not whether the car resembles an economy-focused hybrid.
The newer supercar buyer
The Temerario offers a 920-CV hybrid twin-turbo V8 in the role formerly occupied by the Huracán. Buyers should evaluate the new engine configuration on its own terms and use the US fuel-economy disclosure only as a market-specific reference. A drive and a clear explanation of charging operation are more informative than assuming the predecessor’s behavior carries over.

The Urus SE is the most natural fit when an SUV format and regular electric-mode use matter. Its stated 25.9-kWh battery and more-than-60-km electric-mode claim make charging practicality central to the purchase. If the owner cannot charge consistently, the reason to choose the plug-in system becomes weaker, even though the vehicle remains a gasoline hybrid.
