The announcement described broad creative ambitions but did not identify a first car or product, set a launch date, or disclose the deal’s value.
What did LoveFrom agree to do with Ferrari?
Exor and Ferrari announced the collaboration from Amsterdam and Maranello on 27 September 2021. Their statement said the partnership’s first expression would combine Ferrari’s performance and excellence with LoveFrom’s experience and creativity. It did not specify what that first expression would be.
The announcement described LoveFrom as working with Ferrari’s design team, led by Flavio Manzoni. Ive and Newson said they were excited to collaborate with the company and its design team, but neither they nor the companies named a vehicle, interior, technology, or other deliverable.
How does Exor fit into the partnership?
The announcement covered more than Ferrari. LoveFrom was also to explore creative projects with Exor in the luxury business. Separately, Ive was to join Exor’s Partners Council, an annual forum for exchanging expertise and ideas and exploring potential business opportunities. The council role is distinct from the Ferrari-specific creative collaboration.

Exor chairman and chief executive John Elkann, who is also Ferrari’s chairman, described the arrangement as an opportunity to combine the companies’ creativity and said he welcomed Ive to the council. The announcement did not set out specific council duties or identify additional luxury projects.
What is known about the deal’s length, value, and timing?
The release called the collaboration “long term, multi-year,” but gave no exact number of years, fee, deal value, contractual structure, or project schedule. No launch date was announced.

Ferrari’s 2025 annual-report search result says the collaboration began in September 2021 and “continues today.” Because the underlying report was not available for inspection, that supports only a limited status update; it does not establish what work has been delivered or what projects are underway.

The partnership put Ive and Newson, through LoveFrom, in a creative relationship with Ferrari and its design team. It did not announce that either designer would replace Manzoni, lead Ferrari’s overall design operation, or produce a particular model. Nor did it promise that a resulting project would become a production car.
