Honda unveiled the Super EV Concept at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed as a small, A-segment electric-car concept focused on practical usability and driving enjoyment. It made a camouflaged hillclimb appearance, but that debut did not confirm the car for production or establish retail specifications. Honda later said the concept became the basis for its Super-ONE Prototype.
What Honda unveiled at Goodwood
Honda announced the Super EV Concept on June 17, 2025, as part of its program for the Goodwood Festival of Speed, held July 10–13 in West Sussex, England. The company described it as an A-segment compact EV concept intended to pair practical usability with what it called the joy of driving. Those were Honda’s design aims, not independently measured performance results. Honda’s announcement also said the vehicle had undergone UK road testing before the festival.
Honda planned a world premiere and a run up Goodwood’s 1.16-mile (1.856 km) hillclimb course. After the event, Honda described the appearance as the concept’s UK debut. Goodwood’s July 12 report described a camouflaged prototype making its global dynamic debut on the hill and noted that production had not been confirmed.
What the Goodwood appearance established—and what it did not
The event established that Honda was showing and driving a small electric-car concept, and that the company was exploring a combination of compact practicality and engaging driving. It did not establish that the camouflaged car was a finalized retail model. Honda’s announcement and the event coverage do not provide a confirmed price, production date, or full technical specification for the Goodwood concept.

- Not established for this concept: Battery capacity, range, motor output, charging speed, retail price, or confirmed availability.
In particular, specifications or features announced later for a related vehicle should not be read back as specifications of the 2025 Goodwood concept.
What the Super EV Concept was based on—and its link to Super-ONE
Honda’s October 2025 announcement identified the Super EV Concept as the concept model that became the basis for the Super-ONE Prototype. That makes Super-ONE part of the concept’s later development story, but it does not establish that the prototype is identical to the Goodwood show car or that every later feature was present in the concept.

The later prototype’s named features belong to that subsequent stage. They should not be presented as confirmed equipment or specifications of the Super EV Concept that ran at Goodwood.
What the later regional plans said
Honda Australia separately announced a planned Super-ONE launch in Australia in the second half of 2026. For that Australian program, it gave dimensions of under 3.6 metres long and under 1.6 metres wide, and said compatibility with charging solutions was part of development. These statements concern the planned Australian Super-ONE, not universal dimensions or charging specifications for the Goodwood concept. Honda Australia’s October 2025 announcement also quoted its president and CEO, Jay Joseph, describing the later vehicle as intended for dense urban environments.

Because launch timing and regional specifications can change, the October 2025 announcements should be treated as dated plans rather than a statement of current market availability.

The Goodwood appearance itself did not confirm production; Goodwood explicitly reported that production was unconfirmed at the time. Honda later connected the concept to the Super-ONE Prototype and announced planned production-model timing for Japan and Australia in 2026. Those later plans support a development path from concept to a related planned model, but do not establish that the Goodwood concept will be sold unchanged.
