That is its documented historical destination; available sources do not establish whether the original TV vehicle is currently on public display. The name also gets applied to several different trucks and replicas, so auction listings are not necessarily for the series vehicle.
Where did the TV truck go?
A 2019 account in Smoke Signals says Paul Henning donated the vehicle used in the series to the Ralph Foster Museum, on the College of the Ozarks campus in Point Lookout, Missouri. Enthusiast history site PreWarBuick.com gives the donation date as May 6, 1976. The specific date is attributed to that site, rather than to a museum record.

This supports the truck’s reported historical destination, not a claim that it remains on view. The available sources do not confirm its present display status or whether visitors can access it. Before planning a visit specifically to see the truck, check directly with the Ralph Foster Museum for current information.
Why do sources give different Oldsmobile models?
Descriptions of the truck do not settle on one model designation. Smoke Signals identifies the series vehicle’s base as a 1921 Oldsmobile Model 43 Roadster. A 2025 auction preview describes a 1921 Oldsmobile Model 46 truck, while a 2008 Barrett-Jackson archive entry covers a separate custom truck with a 1922 Oldsmobile base.

These descriptions should not be merged into a single specification. The antique car used as a base, the truck’s custom body and chassis, and other vehicles built for the show or related productions are different pieces of the identification. The differing labels are a reason to check a particular vehicle’s provenance rather than assume its model proves it was the TV truck.
Why are there several “Beverly Hillbillies trucks”?
The series truck was not the only vehicle associated with the Clampetts. Smoke Signals reports that custom-car builder George Barris built five Clampett trucks. Auction records add further distinctions: the 2008 Barrett-Jackson archive documents one Barris-built truck with a 1922 Oldsmobile base, and a 2025 auction preview describes multiple builds, including a Ford Model T-based replica and an Oldsmobile truck that appeared in the 1993 film.

- Official Licensed Product through Motormax
- Made of die-cast metal and premium rubber tires.
- Opening doors, detailed interior
- 1:24 Scale measuring approx. 8x3x3 inches
Those examples have different production roles and histories. A vehicle described as a Beverly Hillbillies truck might be a series vehicle, a stunt or exhibition build, a film vehicle, or a later replica. A shared name or resemblance alone does not establish that it is the truck donated by Henning.

When a display or auction calls a vehicle “the” Beverly Hillbillies truck, look for evidence that identifies that individual vehicle, not just its appearance or connection to the franchise:

- Brand new box. Real rubber tires. True-to-scale detail. Officially licensed product. Has opening hood and doors. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts. Detailed interior, exterior, engine compartment. Dimensions approximately L-8, W-3.5, H-3.25 inches.
- Production role: Does the record identify it as a series vehicle, a stunt or exhibition truck, a 1993 film vehicle, or a replica?
- Provenance: Is there a documented chain of ownership or a connection to the reported Henning donation?
- Construction: Does the source distinguish the underlying antique car from the custom truck body and chassis?
- Dated location: When and where was the vehicle documented? A past auction or display record does not establish where it is now.
Without that kind of vehicle-specific evidence, “Beverly Hillbillies truck” is a broad label, not proof that a particular Oldsmobile or replica is the original used in the television series.
